To my naked eye I would say no, not quite the right shade of brown.

It's also somewhat disturbing that the matalan.co.uk site says that these cords are frequently bought together with "Girls 10 Pack Printed Knickers".

Also somewhat disconcerting that they're called 'Hampton'... (Gonna be difficult explaining Cockney Rhyming Slang to our US cousins) )

Btw I think these are too brown, the Skyfall lodge cords are virtually black - you might be better off going with black pair and washing them a few times.

Again to the lighting a color debate... I was convinced the lodge cords were almost a dark grey instead of brown.. until you watch the underwater sequence after he falls through the ice.. in the close ups as he chokes Silva's henchman out they appear very brown... I bought two pair at Kohl's.. one in dark brown and one "combat grey"... pleased with both

the style is to casual they need to be slim fit ?

I think, regardless of which pair you choose, that the color needs to be a very dark brown. On screen, they look black to me. And yes, you want slim fit.

I have these, the colour is ok, the fit however is not very slim at all.

These are no way near; the wale is too small, they are a trouser style, not jean style and the fit looks huge!

Well to be precise they are corduroy jeans, 5 pocket style; not corduroy trousers with slanted pockets etc.

I got the M&S North Coast in brown, colour is fine but I always come between leg lengths (29, 31 and 33inch) so as I am wearing with boots went down a size which was fine. I compared leg width it is the same as my favourite Levis 501's so whilst not slim fit not baggy either.

I also have black Levis 505 cords both look screen accurate depending on your picture shot preference
