Skyfall deleted scenes not on DVD?

Ok so what i can see the scenes we don't see in the film is the scene where hes training in MI6 in the blue kit but theres a bit wheres he running through hyde park wher'd that go? Also where Severigne is coming down an escalator with her guards perhaps our fast encounter with her?
Don't know about you guys but it really annoys me how they leave these small scenes out. Why cant they have 2 versions on the disc cinema version vs uncut full scene intrication version.

Its all about timing and pacing. As James Cameron's films painfully show, its not good narrative flow when a film clocks in at 3 hours plus.
Deleted scenes at least let you see what was cut and why. Personally the two pieces you mentioned were not essential to the film, so I can see why they were dropped.

I assume from what you are saying, those pieces have not been reintroduced in the DVD version? If so it was understandable, they are tiny segments, seemingly with no dialogue.

Sometimes they film scenes specifically for the trailer, with no intention of adding it to the movie.

I'm still waiting for the uncut 'European' version of CR for North American release.

I was annoyed too that Severine coming down the escalator was cut. It was a very memorable scene and picture during the Skyfall build up. Disappointed when it didnt actually make an appearance in the film!

There was a whole scene in a cargo plane that got as far as the set designer making sketches for it. Curious what those scenes contained.

To be honest, I was quite disappointed by the 'extras' on the dvd. Nothing that hasn't been shown before, no deleted scenes, no trailers or tv spots, no interviews, no comments from the producers, no datastream and no 'making of' documentary as such.

What gives? Am I missing something obvious like an Ultimate Edition coming out at a later date or is this really all that we get for the big 5-0?

nope, when i looked on the 18th, both the dvd and bluray had the same lousy 'extras'.

I agree. I too was a little disapointed with the extras.
The producers Commentary is like listing to a bunch
of inmates at an old peoples home, reminiscing on
their Holiday photos.
Where as S Mendes Commentary is Brilliant. -{

I made 5 pages of notes by listening Sam's audio commentary.
Filmmaking gold! I turned off the producers commentary before the PTS ended.

I made it to the casino Scene and gave up on the Producers commentary.

It really was like watching a movie with people who just liek to mumble through movies. Mendes' commentary is really good.

They'll probably re-release it as a deluxe edition for the holiday season, like they did with CR.

I really wish that MGM would stop this silly practice of leaving deleted scenes/ bonus features off one edition of a given film and then later putting on another. Blu Rays are suppost to hold more information than a standerd DVD so it puzzles me when things get left out. I was espcially surprised to learn that are two different versions of Casino Royale on Blu Ray with different features.

I got the DVD on the day of release, but due to varous pressures I've yet to see it. Hopefully I'll get a chance to give it a spin some time this week...

Its daft, had there been decent extras included I would have bought the DVD copy of the film ages ago. As it is I am still waiting for it to get to the bargain basement price level. I was surprised when I learned the Blueray was as sparse at the standard Dvd!

I have the collector's special triple disc version of CR-06, twin disc editions of my favorites for each actor, (OHMSS missing) and the DVD collectors set from which SF is the missing solo disc entry.

YEah also missed the scene there was a picture floating on the net when they comemorated the mi6 victims during Silva's bombing, it was like a row of old fashioned cars in the streets of london
