ToKiTo Skyfall Jacket still available at .............

Give Kafta a call as of this afternoon they still have some very limited supply, my first post I know but found the site really helpful when trying to find one, so thought only fair to share.

I've picked up an XXL with SA buttons and a work colleague has bagged himself a L with correct button placement. Well chuffed.

No XL's though which is what I think I need :-( let's hope the XXL is a small one as I've heard now that there can be quite a bit of difference between same size jackets.

my bottom button isn't level with top of pocket.... does this mean mine are placed incorrect?

I think that there are a couple of options on button placement, it's been covered before. The unevenly spaced version is more like the one in the movie, but for some it's not a deal breaker.

You still need to remove the hood zip etc to make it fully SA, I just prefer the uneven placement as its more like a sports jacket with the lower button being a little higher.

At the end of the day they are all Barbour Beacon Heritage ToKiTo sports jackets.

    Thanks for the tip!

I have finally pulled the trigger and ordered the XXL for me at Kafka.co.uk
Excellent service, free shipping to Germany and they still have some of the sizes available.

    Ask for Robert or David.

    Thanks again!

There are still M, XL and XXL at www.royalmale.com for those who are in the US. Of course, this is the US retail price of $799 (with free shipping).

I was very hesitant to order the XXL from Kafka. I normally take a L or an XL at the most.

The service from Kafka, I mean Robert, was excellent.

The XXL fits great. I'm 6'2", 45" chest, 33" waist, and about 210 lbs., depending on how much pizza and beer I've consumed recently.

The jacket is not snug but has enough room to move and work in while still looking good. I'm not afraid that I'm going to reach for something and rip the seams.

    Good luck with yours.

Quick update, all XXL and XL's gone, a couple of L and M left with the even spaced buttons at MSRP. Be quick.

    My experience:

I'm 6'0 and 150-155lbs. I had the small and it was too tight. After paying what I did and being unsatisfied, I almost went for a large. After helpful discussions with owners trying to sell on ebay I decided on medium. I got the jacket a few days ago and it is......... perfect. I'd say if you are a 38 chest you can get away with the small but it will still be snug. I'm a chest 40 at best and the medium is the way to go. And I sold the small.

On another note I want to mention a couple if things about this jacket. For those not used to waxed cotton, the jackets can leave you with a clammy feel as they don't breathe as well as some synthetic (read: undesirable) materials. So pace yourself, etc.

Also the jacket is heavier than most maybe expect. It is a substantial piece of winter or fall weather wear. What else? It seems tough as nails. I'm a field botanist and spend 2-300 bucks every few years for a field jacket. I hope, with care and maintenance, that this will be my last. The poachers pockets were the killer - perfect for stashing field journal while scrambling / hiking etc.

I cannot be happier with my medium. It is fitted but provides some movement and is not baggy. Hope this helps.

i disagree about a 38R being able to fit into a small. Im a 38R and I fit into my medium perfectly. Any smaller I dont think it would fit right.

but I agree with all of your other observations. Congrats on your jacket! ;-)

Funny enough, I am also a 38R suit size (sometimes 40R in slimmer-cut brands), and I had to go with a large Barbour jacket. My usual size for most clothing is medium, but the shoulders on the medium Barbour were uncomfortably tight, and I could barely move my arms. By comparison, the shoulders on the large fit me perfectly. The body is not as fitted as the tailored, screen-used jacket, but I guess that's the tradeoff if I want to be able to move my arms.

I suppose the size people choose will depend on their own preferences for fit/comfort, but I agree with the general sentiment that it is wise to go up a size in the To Ki To.

I guess it all depends on your shoulders because you, Returningson, and myself have very similar measurements. I tried the L too and had the same feedback. Shoulders were good but everything else was big. I am slender so I think the M would be fine on me. Luckily I was able to find one so we'll see.

I'm 6ft 2ins and normally take a 38 to 40 inch chest for my suits. The L fits fine, but the M fits more like you see it fitting Craig. I prefer the L for outdoors use as I can put more layers under it, but the M is a much nicer fit for casual wear with a sweater and shirt.

Nice summation, JD...I found this also to be true...my large fit me with plenty of movement and layers but in the end the medium fit more to my liking and SA....that being said the medium seems to have given a bit over time with wear and not layers etc are just fine...

Indeedy, they do give over time, my large fits a lot more freely than when I first bought it. The great thing about Barbour waxed jackets... they look better and better the more they are worn.

    Mantis,

I saw your podcast on this and it looked like you were moving around on it just fine. Just out of curiousity, what are ur measurements?

Thanks, I should definitely be good in a medium.
