Well I can say with certainty.. Do NOT buy the one from Mumbai India... it is hilarious... and the first seller was selling them under the name shreeart on ebay.. got it.. it sucked.. asked for refund and he advised I could mail it back.. however, he is no longer an ebay user.. so if I mail it back and he does not refund the money I have no recourse as they cannot hold a user that disappeared accountable.. now there is another seller out of Mumbai selling replicas under the name "marching ants".. I would assume it is the same outfit... point being.. avoid the India jackets ! :))

I've not seen them in real life but members here have been very impressed with the ones from Boutique England. No distressing on them but in terms of fit and quality they seem much better than the price would lead you to believe.

This is hilarious...the things that people do. I guess that's a risk that you take when you go for cheap online.

I have the boutique England one and am very happy with it. At first I was a little disappointed as it was tight and the leather appeared thin. Due to the way it was packaged it was compressed down making it look thiner than it was (especially in the collars). As I have worn it more it has stretched in the appropriate places and relaxed making it look and feel great. To be honest I prefer the new look to the distressed and plan to do the distressing the hard way, years of use.

As for size, these are Asian sized so go up more than you think. I typically also wear an xl jacket with a size 46 chest. I have a 3xl and would have probably gone one size higher if available. When zipped it is fitted but not uncomfortable. For a 44 I would say 2xl will be slightly fitted and 3xl relaxed. Don't get hung up on the size as they are based on Indian/Pakistan sizes where they are made. I was going to cut out the tag for vanity bit haven't bothered to be honest.

One other thing, the zipper is on the European side so backwards to what US men are used to. I may get it changed out but am getting used to is so I may not bother.

Bottom line, if you have the money, get the Levi's version. If not, the boutique England one is a great alternative.
