I hope you guys don't regard this to much as 'shameless selfpromotion'. For me there is no other
joy than to share my hours and hours of work with some of the biggest Bond fans out there!
A while back I worked on some videos that I simply called "Analysing James Bond 007". Each episode was
roughly 25 minutes long, In which I analysed each movie scene by scene while also sharing some background and my
personal oppinion. I had uploaded these video's to youtube, however my youtube channel recently grew a lot and I
managed to get an official youtube partnership. This meant that I couldn't afford any copyright issues with the analysing episodes anymore, so I was forced to take them down unfortunatly. Even though they received a decent amount of views and some nice feedback.
I also shared the first six episodes on this forum actually, and some members here gave me some pretty positive feedback on it! Here is the original old thread in which I posted them back then:
http://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/38736/me-analyzing-james-bond-movies-in-self-made-videos/
Since my video's are no longer on youtube I have now reuploaded them to another website: vimeo. I plan to resume and finish this project. So far I have finished the first seven episodes, (Dr. No - Diamonds Are Forever) and I have reuploaded the first three so far:
Analysing James Bond 007 #1 - Dr. No
https://vimeo.com/60128868
Analysing James Bond 007 #2 - From Russia With Love
https://vimeo.com/60653791

Analysing James Bond 007 #4 - Thunderball

https://vimeo.com/62245874
Analysing James Bond 007 #7 - Diamonds Are Forever

let me know what you think of them!
Please note, i'm Dutch, so you are going to notice a bit of an accent here!
(NOTE: DAF will follow soon, I will update this post whenever I upload new episodes! )

I doubt your videos will last long on VIMEO because they are pretty strict about "not uploading videos that are clips or compilations of scenes from TV programs or movies."

I'm sorry to hear you can't bear the aspect ratio, I'm afraid I can't do much about it right now..
And about vimeo, well it seemed like the perfect alternative for me at the moment. I really wanted to resume this project and since youtube was now out of the question this seemed like a good way to go. I haven't gotten any trouble with vimeo so far and I will just wait and see how things play out there... I highly doubt there will be any trouble with it actually, unless somebody reports the video's or something. And basicly the only people I link to the vimeo video's are either coming from this forum or from my youtube channel. Most people won't find these video's if they are not linked to it. (Vimeo doesn't really get as much traffic as youtube and they are pretty hard to find using the vimeo search engine for some reason.) I trust the people I link to the video's are not people who feel like screwing me over and go report the video's because they don't meet certain regulations...
In the end all I want to do is reach fellow Bond fans and share my opinion and thoughts on the movies with them in an entertaining way. (Like everyone else on this forum actually) Writing reviews on every movie is one way to go, but I prefer to get some visual support to go along with it as well. Thanks for atleast giving it a try though..

At the risk of coming across completely the wrong way here, I just wanted to let those intrested know that I have now added the TB, YOLT and OHMSS episodes to the OP. The OHMSS episode is probably the most controversial one I've done, as my oppinion is really different compared to the main norm... I have also finished DAF and I will upload that one next week!
I know this thread didn't get much attention this time arround, I guess people either view this to much as 'selfpromotion' or just 'another annoying member posting video links'... Personally I feel that I am no different than the review threads of all the Bond movies that Q-Branch_2012 posts regulary, or any other member sharing their oppinion on the movies really... I think it's fun to spend some special attention to every Bond movie in great detail and I preffer a 'show and tell' type of reviewing to writing one...
I am aching to get some oppinions, comments and feedback on these episodes from fellow AJB'ers. There's a lot of time and energy that went into these reviews and to be quite honest they are souly made for Bond fans. I would really appreciate it if someone gave it a shot. And if this thread gets burried again, I would atleast appreciate an explanation or some feedback.
It's all with the best intentions. -{

Weird sounding accent though LOL.
I too have fond memories of Thunderbirds
I always thought Rutger Hauer would have made a good adversary for Bond maybe they could consider him for a modern Blofeld for Craig.

Thanks! Good to hear! And I actually agree on my accent - English is not my mother language.
Good to see more people enjoying them again - Thunderbirds probably has the highest sentimental value of anything in my life!
I always hope that OHMSS will grow on me more over the years. Like most Bond movies I've watched it countless times and for the reasons stated in my review, it just doesn't... I am going through all of the novells again at the moment, and have never read the OHMSS novell. I heard people say that you can truly appreciate the movie when you've read the novell.. While I think you should be able to enjoy a movie without having read the novell, and also without needing several viewings, I am definitely going to give the novell a try to see if my opinion changes.
Thanks for the kind words

Also The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy books are so much better than the TV series/film
But 2001 A space Odyssey the film is far superior to the book ( no disrespects to Arthur C Clarke )
I will get around to reading the novels sometime
What is your favourite Thunderbird mine was TB2 and I always wanted the Dicast toy and 1972 christmas was ruined because I never got one. I did have the Corgi DB5 with the ejector seat and rubish red spikes that came out of the wheels, shame I haven't still got it as they are worth a few bob now.
You may or may not be interested to know that Colchester near where I live has part of the town called the Dutch quarter, where it was popular for Dutch Protestants to escape to when Spain ruled Holland, and some of the architecture is very Dutch.
Intresting post, never heared of a Dutch part of town in Colchester!
Thunderbirds wasn't dubbed into Dutch back when it aired when I was a kid. (It never was as far as I know) And I'm very glad that it never got dubbed! Sure, Dutch is my mother language but dubbing ruins the show. (The Germans seem to do it with litterally everything! Glad the Dutch aren't the same! ) I started watching Thunderbirds when I was a three year old, and it is the show that taught me english from a very young age. I think I owe it to tv shows like that that I can now speak a descent word of English!
Back on topic, I will add the Diamonds Are Forever episode next wednesday!

I can relate with the dubbing, I saw the German film "Run Lola Run" with subtiles at the cinema. Its a great film if you haven't seen it. Once on DVD I tried it with dubbing. Awful! The voiceartists sounded nothing like the actors or the intonations of their dialogue.
I later tried an episde of TNG with the dubbing as well, again in German. Des as faciniant!
Paul, I reccomend looking to model shops, in particular Comet Miniatures in London. (Good website too.) If anyone can help you find a good model of Thunderbird 2, they can!
Dfinger, when time permits, I'll have a part at your Bond reviews. Haveyou considered the Thunderbird films as well? (I only mean the supermartionation ones of course!)
Good to hear! Let me know what you think of them when you get to it! - Never considered doing the Thunderbirds films. Might be fun to do the episodes and stuff! But I don't think there will be nearly as much people intrested in it as in the Bond movies.
