I agree with 002, I don't mind a little light creasing on some of the books, especially the older ones but in general I like my paperbacks to be neat and tidy looking. That doesn't mean to say that I leave them unread, but I try and be careful to preserve the spines as well as possible. Some books seem to crease more easily than others. Fortunately most of my early Pan paperbacks are in nice condition, although one or two have slanted spines which is unfortunate.

My favourite is the FRWL cover by Richard Chopping, S&W and rose.

As well as 002, I also hate people bending books back, rather than using a book mark, I also hate second hand/charity shops that just dump books into a wire bin.

Very pleased to say that I now have the whole set of these. The first time I've had every title in any of the sets, to be honest. And they're even better in person!

The vintage reprints, was the first time I had a complete set of the books. :D
As before I had two or three from one print, mixed with a few other versions.

Yes, my mix-and-match sets have been kept aside as loaners for borrowers (and likely book abusers). My Vintage007 set is not to be handled by anyone but me.

:)) in fact mine are still in their presentation case, I've been collecting them
On kindle, and keep them one or two at a time on my phone, to read anywhere
    and anytime ! :D
I'm doing the same with the continuing novels, so when I've been dragged out
Shopping X-( , I can find a seat and read a chapter or two. ;)

The books are lovely, but with my hectic life style. Parachute jumping, surfing,
Formula one racing, fencing, karate, speedboat racing and not to mention the hours
    Of love making.
I find it easier to either have them on a phone/tablet, or even have them as audio
Books on the same device. :) as I find you have to set time aside for a book, whereas
With the others you can do other things. I love listening to a Bond, while walking the dog
    Or on a long drive.

I have to admit that I treat Hardback books with respect, But paperbacks, I do turn down the corners, even
bend them to fit into a pocket at times. But how else can I get them out of the libary, unseen ! :))

A UK first edition of Cold is worth a mint these days due to low publication figures.

Oh yes, I've also got Hard Covers for WLOD, SF and Scorpius.

COLD Hardback is rather expensive, I agree :# The LTK First Edition will also cost you an Arm and a Leg.
