I dont like the fit. I wear my shoes loose in the width but these are too snug for me.

An E width is probably too snug for 99.99% of the population.

Funny. I find these boots are wider then my Alden 405's in D width on the Trubalance last, and a pair of Alden boots on the Barrie last in D width, both size 10.5 US, while my Islay's are 10E uk.

You explained it all right there. They probably work for you because you went a whole size up for the C&J's. I take a size 9.5 usually, but to get an E to fit me, I'd have to go a whole size up to a 10.5 too.

Also, these are wider then my Church Ryders in 10F UK as well, if that helps.

Strange. My 9.5F Church and 9.5F C&J's are pretty much the same.

It's very small, but I can feel that little bit of difference. I still agree, that these aren't a "wide" boot by any means. If you get measured properly, the width should be good. You just really need to know what fits you, and is comfortable.

Really? Do these boots run slim (compare to Allen Edmonds)? I'm bigger than 9, so I can't buy these, but E's usually fit me fine in other brands.

99.99% of the population might be a slight exaggeration, but they certainly run slim in an E. I tried the E on (hahahah E-on), anyway, they were so slim I couldn't even get a 9 1/2 on my foot, but the F was fine.

i dont think these run slim. I usually wear a 10 (goes up and down in various brands but the average equates to a US size 10) and have a pair in 9.5 regular "E" width and they fit perfect. If anything, these run big but I really cant speak for the width (although I have seen more of these in E width as opposed to D). However I do have to state that mine are the Barney's Edition produced exclusively for them so...

If anyone does want these then let me know by Saturday as they will be going on ebay if not sold here. If you think £280 is too much then pm me an offer.

wow, cant believe these havent sold. The retail on these is 480GBP and they are worth every penny at that. Maybe some actual pics will help you sale tardis? Also i would try listing these on styleforum in the B&S classifieds if you have an account. They even have a whole thread dedicated to C&J.

I know..i thought they would have sold quickly. Was hoping to sell to someone on here to give them a good deal. I think I may keep them if no one buys from here. They are nice boots and will last for ages.
