James Bond Accessories Display Case

mac007mac007 WisconsinPosts: 92MI6 Agent
Greetings all, So after alot of thought and effort and getting this that and the other squared away, I am nearly finished(minus a coat of primer and paint) with my Guns and Accessories of Bond display case. Check it out, and give me some feedback and feel free to ask questions. Yes, they are all real guns. :) -{

PS...This is a shelf that is built into the wall between studs in case you were wondering. It will also soon have a sliding mirror "hiding" it which will be almost as flush as a normal wall mounted mirror.

    Thanks! I picked up the P38 in kind of a weird way. Walked into a gun store and and there it was, just sitting on the shelf. The owner had just taken it in on trade, and I said, put it back in the case, I'll take it.

    I keep them out 24/7. I do have alot of photos of them, but should probably get each appraised for insurance purposes.

    I've been focusing on getting all of the "Bond Issued Sidearms" first, but then will go back and pick up whatever else I can find. I'd love to find an OHMSS P99 to compliment the 9xxx serial number one I have now, and I also have the p99 in a .40cal but that's in my night stand safe since it wasn't really a bond gun being that it's in the .40. I'd also love to get a WA2000, but I doubt I ever find one.

    You mentioned that your sidearm collection is real
    do you get to fire them and if so wich one give you most joy
    (my money is on the P38)

    I do get to fire them as often as I would like...I just recently acquired the P38 and Beretta .25, so i haven't fired those yet because it is winter here and we have about 12" of snow on the ground and the temps haven't gotten over 20 in a while, but once it warms up, i'll get out and fire all of them again and judge. I actually do really enjoy shooting the PPK. It's just a fantastic little gun, very accurate.

    Well if you ever get over to Wisconsin, PM me, I don't know we'll be close in location, but if we are, I'll take you to shoot them and then we can grab some vespers. -{

    Wow! Awesome. It's always been a dream for me to pick up a PPK. Congrats on an awesome collection. Are they pricey? I have no idea on guns haha.
  • mac007mac007 WisconsinPosts: 92MI6 Agent
    They can be had for anywhere between $400USD to $1000USD depending on date of manufacture, and if they have any significant meaning in history(ie, WW2) etc...So not too bad. The one I have is a newly manufactured and I picked it up for around $600USD.

    So if I told you guys the paint color I found today, you wouldn't believe me, so I took a picture...Yep that's right. I might just have to find some more stuff to paint this color. :)

    I finished up painting the cabinet with my "Shaken Not Stirred" paint color. It came out very well I believe. Here are some pics of it almost completed. Only thing left to do is to put a sliding mirror on it so it's completely hidden when the mirror is closed over the top.

    My camera doesn't do it justice, It's actually a grey with a little tint of blue. Here is the link with a better color representation:
