    Great to see you are back and on excellent form, sir. I hope that fatherhood is treating you well.

    Now you won't be needing that nut sack anymore so I hope someone makes you a good offer for it.

    Me too, I caught it on the edge of a table last night and this morning it resembles kananga's sofa.

    I think the biggest problem is that you are unknown here....and trust is everything.

    its daft trying to sell something without posting a pic in the first instance. i can't see much point in describing something for sale and saying "pics posted later" etc. just wait, get some pics taken and then post ya ad.

    the other thing that slightly annoys me is people saying stuff like 'open to sensible offers' etc. just state what YOU think it's worth or what you'd like for it, then see what happens. setting an asking price gives everyone a starting point for negotiations.

    also, granny's mention of trust is an important one. if you're a first time poster or lesser known member, why not take the time to introduce yourself?

    my final gripe about these spammy ads is about the 'hi guys, look what i just found on ebay....' type ones. its blatently obvious to all that you're simply plugging your own stuff for sale, so why not just be honest about it from the word go?

    rant over,

    If you have tried those two sites and failed to sell it, then perhaps its not worth what you think ?
    £400 is a considered purchase for most...and for that sort of money people will want some confidence in the item and the person selling it...and that could take time...

    Good luck with your sale -{

    @ op

    Adding to Minigeffs remarks, it would have helped to mention the ST Dupont brand name in your initial post.

    Your sales ad sounded a bit like: ' I have a red car to sell, in good condition' and then being surprised that noone makes offers.

    Rule# 1: The offered item is only as good as the seller. Youa re new here
    Rule#2: If you have something to sell, it's your part to provide potential buyers wi as many infos as possible.

    Now in the case of the bullet clip: These have been heavily faked when they came out together with these infamous fake lighters.
    But lets assume for a second that yours is real: this kind of moneyclip never appeared in the movie in that shape so many diehard fans will have zero interest in it.

    So it may be better to go the ebay route - though I would never buy something like that without having it in hands (see my fake remarks above).
