Seconded... Yukiko is the most helpful shop assistant I've ever encountered amd can't speak highly enough of her and the C&J....
The current retail on the regular Skyes is 420 with VAT and the Skye 2s are shell cordovan. The materials alone are more expensive and shell is supposed to take extra care to work with. 600 with VAT really isn't asking for too much. Don't get me wrong, it's expensive, but people who love their shell footwear will tell you it's worth the premium you pay.
Honestly though, as much as I love the Skye 2s, their not in my shoe budget at the moment either.
Value Added Tax. If you're in the states and other non European countries you shouldn't have to pay it. I bought my Skyes last week and it took 70 pounds off the price because I live in the states.
