So the new novel is out on 26th September! I really can't wait for this one. Hate to count chickens before they've hatched, but I believe Bond's in the safest hands since Amis with Boyd. I've recently read a couple of his novels and he has a strong but down to earth prose which should give Bond something we haven't seen for a long time. The decision to place Bond in 1969 as a 45 year old is an exciting thought. Maybe we'll see a tired Bond, on his way down but with enough to prove? I don't think Boyd will disappoint :007)

No, not yet. I think zencat's The Book Blog may have more details on interviews with William Boyd. You should have a look there - there's even speculation that Bond is killed off in this one?!
Now, I don't mind this, but I would prefer it if William Boyd was going to write a Trilogy of Bond. So we got use to his writing style, he could also introduce the villain in the first Book, so Bond hunts for him and fights him in Book 2 and in Book 3 we get the big climax and where Bond dies.
I would also like my name's sake, Kissy Suzuki's child developed as I find Bond having a child really interesting.

As ( Just my opinion ) I doubt they'll ever "Kill off"
the literary Bond. He makes too much Money )
Then I take it that you've not read Raymond Benson's short story 'Blast From the Past' which features James Suzuki and the report of his death at the hands of the returning Fraulien Irma Bunt? See it out and give it a read!
mi6-hq has new that the title will be announced at a Book Fair on Monday 15th April.
