the living daylights

Watched the living daylights yesterday ,and during the exercise by
the double O dept,to attack the radar on GIB, Bond (Dalton) is crouching down
and from no where a local Barbary macaque jumps into shot, and scares the living daylights
no pun intended out of dear old Tim, now my question is
(1) was this a blooper ie the ape jumps into frame or
(2) was the ape thrown at Tim by a stage hand .
either way it was funny
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I'd imagine it was intended as it's a John Glen staple to have an animal or bird come out of nowhere and scare the living daylights out of both James Bond and the audience!

Thanks SM, i would have bet money you would be the only one to know
but stiil planned or not, great acting by Tim, the reaction was all in his eyes
says it all ,which is what i like about Dalton ,he could communicate
many words with out having to speak just with his eyes
    truly a great Bond,
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I know exactly what scene you are speaking of but I have no idea if it was intentional or not. Remember, one of the best moments in OP was accidental. (The guy on the bike cutting in between Bond and the fighting henchman during the tuktuk scene). And J.W. Pepper being pushed in the water by the elephant was also not planned but used in TMWTGG. So it could well have been something that happened during filming without being scripted. But as SILHOUETTE MAN points out, it is very 'Glenlike'
