Sorry, I just realised my previous post was in Norwegian. The gist of what I wrote was this: we have a fair deal of spectacular scenery. Or as we called it when I grew up - "outside".
I haven't learnt any German for about 25 years, but I found this bit interesting:
"Wie lange die gesamten Dreharbeiten in Obertilliach andauern und ob der Osttiroler Ort namentlich erwähnt wird, oder ein Landschaftsdouble für eine andere Region (z.B. Norwegen) darstellen soll, ist noch nicht bekannt."
Does it mean something along the lines of ".... or a landscape-double for another region (e.g. Norway) is not known"?
How long will the entire shoot in Obertilliach persist and whether the East Tyrolean town is mentioned by name, or a landscape Double for a different region (eg Norway) is supposed to represent.
From Google Translate.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Google translate is usefull but risky. I saw a schoolbook in English for Norwegian 5th graders. The sentence in the text was "I'm old but I'm still fit. I take a walk in my neighbourhood every day." The helpful glossary claimed it ment "I'm old, but I still fit in"
That was an officially approved schol book, imagine what us language amateurs can do if we rely too much on Google Translate."
According to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet there will be a big snowmobile action scene set in/near the Austrian village of
Obertilliach. Austria was chosen after both the Arctic Svalbard islands and the fjords of western Norway were canceled after Norwegian politicians yet again succeded in chasing a major movie out of the country. X-( X-(
Obertilliach in Austria.
The houses in the Alps have a very distinct style with the wide roofs. With houses like that onscreen many people would understand, or at least feel, they are in the Alps. This is why I think the purpose-buildt village might be a sign that Austria is standing in for Norway. It''s more likely that they are going to total the place, but one can hope.
Just look at this Picture and compare to the Austrian image above:

Not as much snow in the bottom photo. I noticed that right away. I'm clever like that.
Last winter was freakishly warm and there was very little snow. We still get snow, but if there are any climate change deniers out there: the moon landing was real, smoking can cause canser, Darwin was right, and we are about to change the earth's temperature for good. It's science. If you wont's accept it, go join the Tea Party movement or the Flat Earth Society. (rant over)

About three and a half hours drive from Obertilliach lies Sölden (why can't Austria have good, simple place names with normal letters like we do in Norway? ) Rumour has it that there will be location filming for an unnamed film this winter. It sure looks good:
According to this article the major of Obertilliach has been sworn to secrecy:
I don't know if Im the only one to think this yet but Im slightly disapointed with the preposed new locations. Don't get me wrong they are very scenic, beautiful and Bond like but Italy has already featured in both CR and QOS and Austria was in QOS. I wonder why they didnt take the oportuntity to send him to Africa, Canada, Australia etc. Although Daniel Craig on skis in the Austrian Alps I think could be awsome!!
To be honest, and admittedly I know nothing about the business. I think
Many production companies go to locations that offer, either a welcoming
Government ( willing to help getting permission to film in places), great
Tax breaks for the film makers, making it more attractive to use their country,
and of course locations that hopefully will look spectacular on film.
The well know opening train stunt (SF) was to have been filmed in India, but
Sadly the Indian Government put so many restrictions on what could be filmed.
The Bond crew just up and moved.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
I think there is a danger the Bond movies will rely too much on tried, tested and familiar locations such as Jamaica, Switzerland/Austria, Turkey, Italy and Marocco. How come Bond has been many times in these places, but never Indonesia, Moscow, Southeren Africa, Norway and many other fine locations.
Apart from Norway you might have a point, although many countries
Have some very different locations so can be used many times. So long
As every so often they stick in somewhere exotic.

I remember the old, old joke ( they're all I know) about how
Australia/ New Zealand are like the naughty bits of a very old lady !
Everybody knows where it is, but no one wants to go there ! )
