I second the motion for Canada, other than the Ski jump scene in The Spy Who Loved Me (where Mount Asgrad stood in for the Austrian Alps) Bond has never really visited it properly. My personal recomendation would be British Columbia, since I have visited it a few times. The ski resort at Whistler is amazing, and not since The World is Not Enough have we had a ski scene or an action sequence set in snowy conditions.
Would love to see Bond go to Japan again. Would like to see a Nordic country used as well. A return to Switzerland would be nice.
Yes! All great locations! I would not mind big European cities like Paris (underused in AVTAK), Barcelona (Never used) Madrid (never used and underrated in international cinema as a location), Lisbon (never used) or Rome.

Peru is another top choice of mine as well. I had heard many good things about it, and I can only imagine the possibilities if EON chose to film their.
It would be cool if Bond had a casual run-in with Felix somewhere in Virgin Islands. I think they could do a lot in St. Thomas IMO. With it's mountainous roads and Sky-rail to the top of the island, I think they could come up with an action scene or two.
Canada, specifically Banff or British Columbia...they could tie in Alaska and Russia fairly easily from there..

The top 7 Bond films: 1) Dr No. 2) From Russia With Love. 3) Thunderball. 4) On Her Majesty's Secret Service. 5) For Your Eyes Only. 6) The Living Daylights. 7) Licence to Kill.
I think given the economics of the movie industry these days a location
will have to also stand in for other places, so I think Canada would be a
terriffic location as it has so many different landscapes. I suppose Australia
could also double for many places.

Well, I hope the Bond films will stay out of Canada and Australia, but as long as that morose, apologetic, whining actor fills the suit I don't suppose it matters where they shoot.

Perhaps Toronto? Not only because I live there, but it could have a cool fight on the CN Tower.
HI Torontonian agent ,I suggested ages ago that a great fight scene would be on top of the CNN
and that Toronto/Ontario should be used for a Bond film failing the CNN they could use the Skylon
Thinking of going to Venice this year (well have to wear my black Nike s somewhere)
can any body recomend a nice hotel, dont want to go mad as im going back to
Florida later,
When would you go? Anytime between the middle of September to the end of November are good dates. You'll avoid the extra summer crowds with the families on vacation, etc. The sad part about places like Venice are that they pawned their souls out to the cruise ship industry so unlike the days when Fleming used to visit, it can be crowded no matter when you go. It just happens to be the worst in the summer months. Don't want to put you off though - it is Venice, and there are scores of sights to see. If you go, don't skip the Lido island. I went to the far end where there is a golf course, and just as Fleming wrote about, there were warning signs on the beach side fence not to cross over because they never removed all the land mines on the golf course side from WW2.
There's was an abandoned concrete jetty when I visited and on the beach near it was a concrete bunker/machine gun nest. I felt like I was in a time warp, and the whole place smacks of a scene from a Bond story.
If the casino is still there, it's worth taking a look at as well.
How about Cheshire? It's where I live and there have been a few filming here in the past few months. In my current short story he goes to Tahiti and Austrlia.
Europe's longest footbridge is in Loen, Norway. Have a look:
Loen looks good too. My family celebrated my mother's 70th birthday at a hotel there:
Lovely! That foot-bridge has 'fight scene' written all over it... :007)

Great location although I do feel any fight would be compared to Indy and the temple of doom.
I first though a bike chase across it but then again, I think Bond should stay off the bikes for a
couple of films. ) Still a beautiful spot, as suggested perhaps a romantic location.

I don't think Indy has a monoploy on scenes on footbridges, and as I recall he didn't do much fighting on the bridge. Bringing a motorcycle up ther might prove difficult:
In the Moore era they wouldn't have let petty things like logic or physics stop them from bringing a motorcycle or five up there. In some ways I miss that ,,,
Is he able to Ski? If so it would be great, and a refreshing change from Motorbikes. If he is not a good skier it's really hard to make it look convincing ( remember the dreadful and obviously fake scene in TWINE...) I would love to see some good ski action though.
I see DC as a more modern Guy, So I'd like to see him do some Extreme snowboarding stuff.
There are many vids showing some amazing stuff filmed in some Canadian towns etc, with
people going across the handrails of bridges, down steps and across traffic etc.

The Mediterranean coast.
That's all 007 needs.
Keep it European, please.

As far as what hotels to stay..I've been told by friends the Hotel Galleria
(http://www.hotelgalleria.it/default.asp) was very good. They paid about $120 per day. Another stayed at the Ca' Turelli (http://caturelli.hotelinvenice.com/) - they paid about $100 per day.
You can also take a day trip to nearby places like Verona - it's only about 90 minutes by train.

The foot bridge spans 110 meters accross and the dropp is 150 meters.

Maybe leave it to Mission Impossible then. )
I want to see Craig Ski B-)
