Alzheimers? Maybe you just need a little more sleep. Die Another Day has that effect on me.

Having just re-read "Casino Royale", I feel that a great deal of care has been taken to make the Daniel Craig of the last three films into Fleming's James Bond. The situations are new, but the character of the man is there - even the bits we don't particularly admire!

I've started to re-read the Bond novels and have totaly changed my opinion
on DC. It had been so long since I'd read a Bond Book that I had lost contact
    with the Fleming character.

Yeah - Bond is a very specific character - Fleming was quite often bollocks as a plot-writer (have you read "You Only Live Twice"?????) - but Bond (perhaps best described in the "Casino Royale" novel) is where the fascination lies.
