Prototype Jaws Vans

Here are shots of Pre Production Corgi Juniors Jaws vans. Prototype in the sense that this was an already produced vehicle but these are tests for the effectiveness of different labels. Each label on these vans is completely different. One is a water slide, one paper, two sticky clear plastic. For the mega eagle eyed there are most of the printing variations centre around the printing of white to highlight or to let the van colour come through the label.

    Nice collection of variations there Nick.
    Thanks for taking the time to share the pics -{
    I have also got the same one on the left of your picture and another in white with a red panel label.
    Bought them both of a guy some years ago, also got a road version lotus esprit in blue with a black 007 transfer on the bonnet at the same time.

    I bet it was the same guy, said he'd bought tons from an auction once! would love to see your versions. Just interesting background stuff compared to 'we've all got the same' collecting.......

    I did pick up a few of the Icon prototypes when they were around, must dig them out

    as for the Renault, mines perfect and someone has stuck a white thing on yours ;)

    Again - great stuff...and a real pleasure to see new and rare versions -{

    I hope you do 'dig out' the Icon prototypes you have -{

    Yes, you are right it was the same guy he bought a large part of a collection at Vectis in 2001.

    Never really got into the Icon figures, but all the same would still like to see some prototypes.

    Prototypes is one area I like to concentrate on nowadays especially Corgi. trouble is they don't come up that often. :(

    I really like the Van with the red sticker. Isn't it amazing that they went to so much trouble! I would have thought that if the design said put a sticker on it they would have had them printed and just done it. Can you imagine all these different variations and the meetings to decide - Corgi bureaucracy gone mad! :))

    I have some more recent 007 prototypes and will upload when I come across them. I do have this Beatles bus though. Its a very cool resin full paint and print, lots of hand painted detail.

    I had a guy on the continent bashing my front door down for it, offering way over what I thought it was worth. I decided to sell it, he suddenly went quiet. I then told him I would Ebay it and he suddenly fired up and then again nothing so I did Ebay it and not one person bid. What can you do?!?!?!

    I should have pointed out its not a real bus! :))

    I would have thought the Beatles bus would have gone down well on the Japanese collector market.

    Gotta laugh at your Corgi comments, I was imagining groups of men in white coats putting different coloured stickers on white vans. Did you know Marcel Van Cleemput died last week?

    When I get the chance will post a few more prototype pics

    Those 1/60 are great, I have a solide resin Vanquish and a paint ready one. I have a photo of some loose cars and they are on it. I'll post later. I bet you are my main competitor when these things turn up :))

    Not found my icons yet but I have rediscovered these two, I had completely forgotten I had.

    Its nice to know that if I don't get them, they are going to a good home.

    The Action Men figures are unusual, especially the pink hat and backpack 8-)

    Have never seen the TSWLM helicopter with red plastic in a blister pack, nice one -{

    The Silver Vanquish also looks great, but it looks lonely would look much better with some friends :))
    Is the the other one fixed to a track?

    Thanks for the pics Nick its nice to see some unusual and interesting items.

    Will have to look out some others to post.

    Getting back on topic
    Here is a couple of 1/36 scale prototypes.
    The Lotus is complete resin and the Mustang has metal base taken from the 1971 issue and the upper body and doors are resin.

    Hey Rob,

    is that a pic of one my briefcases or is it yours?
    such a great piece that one

    I have the same Lotus and the Vanquish, love the Mustang. The first showing of that series actually used an original Mustang in the new box art. It looked very odd with the other prototypes as it was quite a bit smaller.

    I had 2, sold one to a guy in Portsmouth and all his collection went to an auction house. I made a fantastic wall mounted case for it. What contents does yours have> mines got a promo letter to a NY theatre and the US campaign book
  • ACACIA_AVENUEACACIA_AVENUE UKPosts: 1,775MI6 Agent
    Only got the campaign book, I guess the promo letter must be the rarest part of the contents.
