SD Studios RE-Breather help?!

I'm hoping someone can help.

Do all the SD Studios Thunderball re-breathers have "branding" on the cigar tube? I realize there were at least 2 generations of the prop replica, but I've recently seen one without any of the Romeo y Julieta branding. Is this original?

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

    Post some pics mate.

    SD released breathers originally with a sanded down cigar tube with a sticker Romeo y Julieta, but later sold with real Romeo y Julieta tubes and also with out any cigar tube :)

    It has an aluminium tube, not a Romeo Y Julieta tube.

    Hmmm, as an absolute idiot - can you explain to me what that means? Sorry for being slow..

    it is a machined aluminium tube with a curved screw in end and a push on top the other end, it was specially made for the breathers, but SD went with rubbing down any old cigar tube and putting a sticker on it, Im sure that there are more about, but to give you and Idea how rare, I have only ever seen 3 -{

    If you look at the original advert/flyer for SD studios items, you will see one of these tubes with red tape around one end.

    Pete is correct. Originally, making these aluminum tubes were the only option in duplicating the cigar tube. When we visited Eon we stopped by Davidoffs and asked to purchase empty R&J tubes. The clerk thought we were crazy. He said "You want EMPTY tubes?" He was nice enough to give us about 10 tubes at no charge. Steve used the remaining 8 (of course we each kept one for ourselves) then used sanded down cigar tubes that had a clear sticker.
    That one currently on ebay is one of the first ones made and would probably be worth more than the rebreather itself.

    Hello all,

    I think, through trawling various sites like this I have my answer, but I just wanted to get it corroborated. I have a replica breather prop that I vaguely recall purchasing from the Galileo 7 Sci-Fi/Star Trek convention in Berlin 1999. It seems to be one of the SD Studios prototype ones but can anyone confirm this through the pictures. If so where would be the best place to part with it?

    Thanks in advanced for you help, Russell, UK.
