Here is one i wanted to share with all the members on board as it is so special
i recently acquired this 1965 Noveltex shop display made in France , it had carefully been put away safely in storage for the last 47 years by the owner of the shop . It advertises 4 different types of shirts and 1 pyjama . (1m50 high)
Just wondering how many of those displays actually survived and especially in this condition .
Picture #3 is a bad scan (found on internet) that shows a shop window in Paris , on the right you can actually see the display . I have also acquired on the cardboard silhouettes that can be seen in the picture, unfortunately that one needs a little bit of restoration (wondering if anybody on board as one or does know somebody who might have one ) . The picture itself was taken from french magazine le nouvel observateur from 04/65 .

i'm always looking for original sixties labelled 007 clothes and accessories (inc. adverts, displays, ....)

this is my top find of the year so far .

    Knockout display - I hope you feel very lucky -{

    I have a Thunderball Connery Standee that I was going to restore ( its quite bad) but I now think I am going to leave it as is and recreate a perfect one. Only one, no more, and the two will stay together but its passed the point of displayable and needs so much repair and touching in that it would be 60% new anyway. Maybe you might do the same with your Noveltex standee.

    again - super super item :)

    Congrats, themanfrombrussels! Smashing find!

    @Voituer: agreed, restoring old items takes away the originality in my humble opinion. Creating a new, identical one as example is a better way to go.

    @ ACACIA_AVENUE, nice tie .... think i saw on Ebay not long ago as well or at least a similar one .

    @ Voituer and Youknowthename , i totally understand the fact about restoration, but this one in such a good condition, that it would be worth doing a bit of work on it .... the top of the gun is broken / missing but the rest is still in vibrant / immaculate shape . If i had a second one from somebody it could be easily restored by taking the measurements .
    Heard some rumours that somebody from Montpellier might have one, but at this stage it's only rumours ....
    or fingers crossed , the guy who is sorting out the storage room as only looked at 20% of the all storage .... who knows .

    spoke to the seller on the phone ...... more news , the display was never used in the shop . It was actually still wrapped in brown paper , and i must admit NO dust, NO fading ,....
    the seller thinks there might be more as he only looked at 20% of the storage place ....
    i'll keep you posted ...
    and UNBELIEVABLE ... two rare 1960s displays being shown on ajb007 in the last couple of weeks . MORE PLEASE .
