Waiting for Bond

And that's the ONLY thing I have in common with Mr Wint or Mr Kidd ;)

Now who can tell me what's wrong with this photo, apart from the ugly overweight buffoon in the mid ground?

Well, if my eyes are holding up, for a start the rememberance wall is almost full compared to DAF. There is a large tree in the background and...

The corridor looks at least half the length it was in the film?

Technically you are wrong by the way GM. Mr Kidd also had a mustache! :D
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Yes, sadly the wall has filled up quite considerably since 1970, but it is the very same one, remember perspectives change considerable with Panavision lenses. Something a bit more obvious though :v

Is there an extra support pillar to your left?
Also noticed there is lawn to your left whereas in the film was stone square with a tree in it plus an addition of a stone seat.

I thought about the pillars as well but they're correct. The tree is still there but just can't be seen in this shot.

Well, there is only one other visual element that stands out.

Is it something to do with the stain glass window? Have the colours been tinted?

Lol, I think I have it! Has the central panel, with the barren tree been reversed?

Thunderbird 2 gets it {[] In the early eighties when the lawn on the far side of the window was being mown, a stone was thrown up into the window. It was decided to repair the window and fit a protective Perspex/Plexiglass/Lexan sheet on the far side. Unfortunately the workmen refitted the window reversed. And that is how it remains to this day. It's amazing the amount of trivia you file away as a Bond fan :#

    Urns that large are costly!

Took a tour group inside the funeral parlor in '99. We talked with the director about cremation! Very fascinating. There IS a Garden of Remembrance outside that Alan Stephenson found!

Yes but if you were out in Henderson it was the wrong place, only the exterior building shots were filmed there, as the hearse arrives. The actual Garden of Remembrance is in a totally different location in N Las Vegas.

Sorry not to be more clear. They have their own Garden of Remembrance--it's what they call the exterior area near the fence overlooking the town--not used in the film.

I have photos from the inside, the window, the sketches from the original construction, etc.
