Bond's Quantum of Solace notebook

Despite the fact that it's been 5 years since "Quantum of Solace" hit the screens I may have made a discovery. Perhaps because no one was actually focused on the background of the scene I'm talking about.

It's hard to tell which model because the backround is blurred, it could also be the notebook Agent Fields was using, what do you think? It's definitely a VAIO, probably a 13" or even a 11"screen. So it could be a VAIO Z or a VAIO TT, both of which were in stores back in 2008.

No one's interested in this I see :( Seems I'm a a lonely tech freak here.

The furniture was provided by BoConcept as far as I remember :) Love their style!

I loved the Grand Hotel La Paz. Pity it doesn't exist in real life.
The hotel suite was recreated, or created on a set at Pinewood.
Love it, and would like to see more of this type of things in Bond 24.
Maybe Bond's pad would be decked out in similar minimalist furniture?

As for the laptop, yes it's a SONY VAIO IMO.
I had one after CR but it got blue screen of death and I had to bin it!
Even with my love for all things Bondain, I am now an Apple boy.
Have to day that I think a real life Bond himself would plum for Apple (see what I did there?) but obviously the producers have their hands ties with Sony.

I was a Viao user back in the late nineties, but then life forced me to have more sense than money, so now I have Toshiba for my laptop. Techwise Viao was good, tech support beyond crap. To me Apple always gets the Raspberry, no matter how many say its top banana. I'm a PC user. I do like Android too, that's the cherry on the Pie.

Re the furniture, I think its ghastly with the possible exception of the chair!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

It is a VAIO, of course it is. I have the VAIO from CR that Bond was using (SZ series, exact one) and it's still working after 7 years. Now I am an owner of a VAIO Pro ultrabook and I couldn't be happier with it.

The model in the picture might be a TT series or a first Z series, as both were Bond branded back in 2008. I don't think Bond would ever use Apple because of the fact that Windows based systems are more common and that's what MI6 needs I guess, he would go for a VAIO or a Dell, both of which are currently the top premium brands in the Windows ecosystem. He wouldn't choose Apple also for the same reason he's not wearing Ray Bans, if you know what I mean.
