Whom would make a great Villainess against James Bond?

I thought Famke Janssen (GoldenEye) and Sophie Marceau (The World Is Not Enough) were fantastic as the villainess.
Whom do you think could be a great villainess against James Bond? Are they usually British or European?

I suppose the obvious choice would have to be Angelina Jolie,
good looking ,sexy, wears expensive clothes well ,no need to teach her firearms handling,
but then too obvious a choice sorry Ange, failing that Miranda Hart at least she could have a fight with Jimbo :))

I don't know if she can act, but how about Nicole Bass (bodybuilder)?

Trisha Helfer from Battlestar Gallactica would be great, but it might be a problem with er height (5'11'')

Judi Dench would have made a great one had they not used her for M. Other than that as long as she's hot has a foreign accent, and is generally unknown in the US..I'm good. But we haven't had a Rosa Klebb or Fraulein Bundt, heck or a Grace Jones in a very long time. Xenia was great..not a fan of Sophie..tend not to like surprise Bad guys like Kristatos or Elektra even though hers was clearly telegraphed..because I have no time to really hate them. The Vesper thing works as a tragedy and it gave the audience the space to realize it with Bond and was handled very well. Wait a minute forgot about Helen Mirren..she would be a great Baddie.

Lauren Cohan (name might be slightly off). Her run as Volkoff's daughter in Chuck proved she can work in a spy world. Speaking of Chuck... Yvonne Strahovski might be able to be a good threat to Bond. Or just a great Bond girl for that matter.

The only other actresses I automatically associate with strong, bad ass types that I can believe as a threat... Erica Cerra and Lucy Giffiths. Though one is more the bad ass soldier type while the other is the more deadly intelligent seductress type.

I think angel inca Joliet would be great for it and she has been in films like it even though she is an obvious choice

Also Miranda hart would be the funniest thing I could imagine just think of her saying "good evening mr bond" in her funny accent

Angelina Jolie, Angela Bassett and Gina Carano (based solely on the way she kicked Michael Fassbender's butt in Haywire and looked so good doing it!)

Gina Carano is a great choice, BL. She's fantastic in everything she's been in and an incredible martial artist.

I also think Charlize Theron would be a great villainess, she was ice cold as the wicked queen in Snow White...

I'm glad you agree, Charmed. And I'm with you about Charlize Theron - her perfomance in Snow White and the Huntsman and in Prometheus have me convinced that could be good in the role of Bond's nemisis.

Claudia Black, Jeri Ryan, Vanessa Redgrave, Famke Janssen (they've reused actors many times before), Helen Mirren, Naoko Mori, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Lena Headey, off the top of my head.
