I wouldn't hold my breath for Quantum (as shown in QoS) to come back properly, in light of QoS's more mixed reviews, but it would not be too much to ask to have Mr. White in person for a third and final time, even if the Quantum network got busted or disbanded off screen.
'Alright guard, begin the unnecessarily slow moving dipping mechanism...'
agree, Quantum as an organisation, seems more credible ,than one lone maniac trying to topple the world,
a group of wealthy self interest group of moguls ,trying to bag another billion quid for them selves seems more
possible, if any comparison to todays banking fraternity is anything to go by, and hopefully Bond will kill them all
slowly and very painfully :v
It's like with Goldfinger, Spectre was neither mentioned nor seen in the Film. But was back in Thunderball.
But there were the books to go by then. And Goldfinger was a great Bond movie. For example if you go to get ice cream but get apple pie instead. It's still good. I would like to see what happened to the Quantum Group. If they were taken out by Bond you would think it would have been mentioned in Skyfall when Bond comes back. Or at the least Bond would have returned immediately after his injury as he wants this group. Like how Lazenby's Bond wanted SPECTRE.
There is a good attempt at media saturation with Bond and the lack of direct sequels and continuity. Which isn't true. Dr. No and FRWL connect fairly well as sequels. Goldfinger was the break and remember it starts off with a small job and surveillance mission. Then back to SPECTRE with Thunderball and YOLT. OHMSS is where the continuity starts to break a bit. But these are a great run of movies.
I personally haven't got a problem with Quantum returning as long as it's a compelling plot and it doesn't feel like a return to Quantum just in order to round the story off.
I don't think Mendes would return if it was the latter but given Mendes is returning, and he got rid of Quantum for Skyfall, I doubt it will return.
I'm sure the possibility of bringing Blofeld back will tempt them. I can't see it going ahead though.
"You are about to wake when you dream that you are dreaming"
Quantum was the modern SPECTRE. I don't know why the producers would exchange Quantum for SPECTRE. I don't think they are up for making a Bond movie on the level of Thunderball or You Only Live Twice anymore with the big battle scenes. So they shouldn't try and bring back SPECTRE if they can't.

He's a director not a script writer.
I'd much rather see Mr. White again instead of Blofeld.
