Bond items in Italy

Hi guys,

I'll be going to Italy in the next couple of weeks and I thought I'd ask anyone who lives or visits there about buying Bond related clothing.

I'm interested in getting a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses (either the 108's or William's) and wondering which stores would might have the best price in Rome, Venice, or Naples.

I was also wondering where I could find a good watch alternative (preferably Swiss made) in the same regions. Any advice would help.

Thanks.

To be honest, your probably better off ,buying things like that at home,
the Euro is almost on parity with our pound and Rome is expensive anyway,
and your better off looking at the sights of Rome rather than running around Rome looking for a TF,
stockist ,The best way to do Rome is get the hop-on-off bus its the the system as the one in New York
you have to go onto the roof of the Vatican its a must , im not even catholic
just be carefull of the pickpockets and be carefull crossing the roads ,they don't take any prisoners
    there,enjoy :)
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

Thanks for the advice. Just had to ask since it's my first time visiting. Definitely can't wait to check the sights. I have heard about the pit-pocketers, might just walk around with a rat-trap in my pocket DAF style :)) .

Hate to bring up a dead forum, but since I leave in a couple of days, I was wondering if anyone has any deterrents against pickpockets?

The ladies should not have anything valuable in their bags.
Don't wear a backpack with valuables.
Credit card and cash in front pockets, no wallet.

In Rome or southern - don't wear an expensive watch.

Just wear you underpants on the out side of your trousers, the locals will leave you alone :D

Italy isn't more dangerous than other countries regarding pickpockets. Just use a bit of common sense, as you would do in all other crowded places.

Just one advice that can really save you a few hundred euros: Always keep the receipt, don't throw it away or leave it at the restaurant table. Even if it's just a coffee or ice cream you are buying. The Guardia di Finanza can request that you show the receipt to prevent tax evasion, and they like to wait for tourists as the Italians know the rules. Just google for "fiscal receipt Italy" for more information.
