    Why change a masterpiece? IMO Roger Moore was playing the right Bond with the right age for that movie.
    All the other cast was perfect the way it was 8we could debate about LH Johnson though - I liked her!)

    During Brosnans years they managed to miss some obvious Bond girls: Bellucci, Cathrine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Connelly

    This thread isn't neccesserily a crittisism of the origional movie, but imagining what could have been.

    Thanks, i liked the idea of casting comedians in non-comedic parts (M and Dimitrios). But Steve Carell as Solange seems a step too far for me .... :o

    This is a splendid idea for a thread. Im going to with goldfinger...note that i would never have cast anyone other than SC but for sakes of doing a modern castlist....
    Bond. Jon Hamm.now i don't think hed be a good next bond as he is getting on and also American, however for a one off, id love to him in the role.
    Q. Micheal Caine. obviously,right.
    M. John Thaw. ok that goes against the "modern" list but he would have been smashing.
    Moneypenny. Keely Hawes. Beautiful, sexy, classy and would do inuendo well.Look no further.
    Tilly Masterson. Diane Kruger. Intelligent and good looking
    Jill ". Scarlett Johansson...who wouldn't want to see that
    Auric Goldfinger. Mark Addy.would do jolly get sinister perfectly
    oddjob. many bennet aka crixus.difficult to cast but this guy is a unit!
