OK, chronologically, the first chips & plaques we see are at the craps table with Bond and Plenty. Now these scenes are supposedly set in the Tropicana, but in actuality the craps table scenes were filmed in the Riviera. We never actually see an identifiable shot of the chips here. The plaques on the other hand are just pure movie props, no casino would ever use plain plaques like that, especially in such high denominations.

Next we have Tiffany at the blackjack table in Circus Circus, here we have more luck as the scenes were actually filmed here. Circus had only been open about a year when filming took place. The chips seen at the table are Circus's first issue rack in $1 & $5 denominations. Today these chips are still available on chip collecting sites and EBay, be careful of the condition on EBay, they vary considerably. In mint condition expect to pay around $50 for the $1 and $200 for the $5. I have originals in mint condition but for display purposes I made up some copies as seen below. As to the manufacturer, it could be any of the well known American ones poss Paulson. They are both made in the 'Nevada' mold. Let me know if I can be of any more help, just as an aside a mint $25 Circus chip is worth around $10k to collectors these days.

That's funny, I have Ringmaster chips and cards and just collected chips from the other nine casinos used in the film and mentioned in Fleming's Thrilling Cities from the period. How did you make the replicas? Did you print your own decals? They look super...

Just got some very cheap 'Nevada' mold chips then painted them up accordingly. Took hi-res photos of the original mint condition chips and then laser printed onto self adhesive paper, cut them out and suck them on. I am friends with several of the pit bosses and shift managers at Circus and they were convinced these were real until they actually picked them up. Think if I was doing them again I probably would use white decal paper. These chips are from the first issue rack of Circus chips, circa 1968, so are now completely obsolete and therefore not to much of a problem to copy the odd one or two, they would not fool a collector when up close and personal but I urge caution for anyone thinking of copying current chips from any casino, they are monetary instruments so technically you would be committing forgery anlong with all the penalties that entails. :#

We know what the plaques looked like in the Bond and Plenty scenes, as the chips are never clearly seen maybe they might have looked like this?

One of us smells like a tart's handkerchief.
