TF108's time for a refurb

Has anyone tried to get their TF108's refurbished? I wear mine in the car and noticed recently that the end of leather ear pieces on the tips of the arms are starting to show signs of wear. Would TF replace these (they have TF logo plate in the leather) or can you order them and replace yourself?
If not i guess the only other option is to by the more recent version released last year (with the additional bar on the nose support) and swap the arms as I think the ends of these are plastic
