Guys I do not know what you are seeing, but all I posted was a link to a watch that was sold on amazon.com. I do not make money off the link. It was a budget suggestion. This is the watch. The Bond look for less.

I am not sure what you mean by an affiliate link, or the fact that I make money by posting this link. I assure I do not. I was just browsing on amazon.com, came across a watch I thought looked similar to my Aqua Terra, for under a $100.00, and thought I would share my find, with others on the board who might be on a budget and we have all been there by choice or situation at some point in our collecting of Bond gear. This was the opposite reaction to my post I was expecting. If the mod's find this post so offensive, please remove it but I will not let someone tell me I am making a post for ulterior motives such as trying to make a quick buck!

Why worn only once? Do you have something else that you prefer as your daily wearer?

    Beautiful watch.

Congrats bud, is this the new full size or the 38.5mm? Either way looks great, and I find myself grabbing my AT, a lot especially if I wear a slim fit suit.

Wow Stefan, you must be making a killing on those $57.84 watches... you'll be buying that DBS in no time! :007)
Not sure why anyone who sees your posts regularly on the forum would think you are posting affiliate links to make money...and then after realizing their mistake doesn't delete the faulty posts. 8-)

Why should I remove my post?
His 'advise' contains an affiliate link and that's what I have posted.

And so what if it is? It's clearly a good alternative and there's no reason not to post it here, affiliate or not. It's not like some cheap Chinese watch company paid him to promote their products. He's promoting a good watch here and bringing it to the attention of people who might be interested.

    now you're getting silly 8-)

After my reply - just to cover your backside - you come up with "well the endorsed product is not so bad" and miss the point entirely again!

He makes money by endorsing these products here!

Say what you want - you need the last word obviously in your silly logic - the "discussion" is now over for me! 8-)

Just one question. How do you know Stefan is the one making the money? This might just be an honest mistake.

pepper, you know me a little:
If I am making a mistake (and I do a lot!), I apologize and edit.

Reflinks don't happen by mistake. If it was a mistake from his side (such as simply copying a reflink from someone else), I'd expect him to apologize and edit his thread.
That the reflink is still in his op and the pretty aggressive reply from him leads me to the conclusion, that we don't see a geniune mistake here.

Yeah Dan, Business is so good, I plan on buying two, hee hee. It would appear the self appointed forum crusader, Bondtoys is on a mission to inform the board that I make money from the Internet by posting a link to a watch I saw on Amazon. I DO NOT, but even if I did, what's his problem? According to him, the Internet is error free, then I guess Bondtoys solved P versus NP as well.

I do not mind a difference of opinion, I welcome it. Some members stated they thought there were better options to the Skyfall, AT than the watch I submitted for consideration. That's fine. But Bondtoys right out of the gate, assumed that the point of the post was to make money and was out of line. I followed up with an explanation that it was a simple cut, copy and paste. No harm done, and yet he still keeps insisting to the contrary.

If you do not want to accept my explanation, fine, but he has the nerve to say I should apologize, and edit my post. For what? I did not do anything wrong. Bondtoys, does not accept my explanation, and he does so publicly. In doing so he is indirectly calling me a liar, if I am a liar, prove it? But do not assume it without any HARD evidence. Furthermore, Bondtoys calls my character into question and I will not stand for that. Those of you who have dealt with me know I am above board. But this guy does not even know me, so what right does he have to assume anything about me?

If this sounds aggressive, this is me aggressively standing up for myself because keeping quiet will only be assumed by Bondtoys as acceptance of some sort of guilt on my part, I think his cowl is on too tight!

Um, how is that "having the last word?" That was my first post on this thread. As for for "the endorsed product is not so bad" part it's along the same lines of a celebrity doing a benefit concert. I recently saw Bill Cosby doing a benefit show for a local college, but he was still getting paid. Because he was getting paid doesn't mean he didn't believe in the cause he was doing in for, I just means that he can make a buck and still support a good cause! You're not convincing anyone, and you're just making enemies, but if that's your purpose then I guess I'll just let you be.

To be fair guys (or play the Devils advocate) if I saw this watch , liked it, and thought other members might like it too ........I'd copy and paste the link , just like he did . (as I just have above) .
I wouldn't have ANY idea if it was an affiliate link or not , just by doing such a simple thing . I think the guy deserves the benefit of the doubt perhaps ? :)
