Saw it this morning DFinger. I think this proves three things. Firstly, the characters are very much an ensemble bunch, everyone will get their fair share of the stories. Secondly, Thunderbird 3.2 has been given a much busier and richer environment to work in. So it's safe to assume along with Thunderbird 5.2 there will be proper stories for both craft as well as Alan and John.
Third, - Lady P still has a temper! "Oh this is ridiculous!! Parker, Pick the lock!" Marvellous!
As to the officers of Spectrum, I'm doubtful they will reboot it again, but there is a good chance they might repeat CGI Cpt Scarlet, Captain Scarlet!

Just saw the fourth episode, really liked it! It centered around Scott Tracy (My favorite of the Tracy brothers) and it immediatly reminded me of the episode The Univited of the original show, where Scott was scouting a mysterious pyramid. Here, it was an abandoned mine. I also loved to finally see the Mole here! Ah the nostalgia! Next weeks episode is called "Fireflash" and a true Thunderbirds fans all know what we're going to see then - I only wish the episodes were just a bit longer, they just fly by a bit to quickly for my taste... Other than that, really enjoyed it once again

This is the episode some fans got to see as an early preview.
Very interesting story. Some people have speculated the new Thunderbirds have nuclear reactors like the originals. This story makes it clear that is not the case. Good.
As with last week focusing on Alan, this week we get a Scott story. It's a nice straightforward environmental tale, but in the traditional sense of the ethics of the original series, while also cementing the lid on one or two story errors from that era. Impressively done in 22 mins! Nice supporting teamwork from both John and Virgil, and Brains gets a good tech support moment, worthy of Ben Wishaw's Q. Bet Scott gets leftovers for dinner though after his cheek about Grandma's cooking!
I LOVE the new way Thunderbird 2 provides its pod / module vehicles!! I was suspicious or the robotic arms in Module 4 in the pilot episode, wandering what their purpose was. Using Module 2 this week (Pod 2 was never seen selected in TOS) we get to see what they are about and it's a fantastic technical concept, again worthy of the automated systems referenced in the original series. The music used when both Thunderbirds 1 and 2 are showing their veritility is almost cinematic its that good.
Thunderbirds Are Go? Yes they are, they most certainly are!! :007)

Another Saterday TB2 :P I'm sure you once again seen the newest episode. So good to see they are actually adapting older episodes into newer ones! As this was of course the update version of Trapped in the Sky! What an awesome episode, they even included a version of the original soundtrack playing with the elavator cars when Fireflash was landing! This show just keeps getting better and better!

Sorry I'm late DFinger, I saw the episode yesterday at 8am, but it was also my 40th Birthday, so just posting my thoughts now!
Considering how much I love this new series, I am a little surprised to say this episode did felt less than the sum of its parts.
I say that because some elements of the story just didn't feel right to me. I don't envy the writers trying to take the TOS's pilot episode, re-write it and cut it in half time wise. Scott seemed a bit blasé, - it was not rational to expect Thunderbird 2 to wait in the wings, and the way the pod cars in Elevator platform mode broke into pieces implied a serious problem with the pod assembly vehicles concept, which is a shame.
The Hood is using some sort of holograph tech for his disguises. That will make life easier for the animators morphing from character mesh to mesh, but it's not the same as the appearance of textured "peel away" faces done before, and in other series and films.
Perhaps the biggest disappoint though is the final resolution - as brilliant as it was to see Thunderbird 2 demonstrating her strength again following Virgil's last minute idea, and it does look spectacular, it felt a bit like a repeat of the Sealab rescue from the first episode in using the maglock cables. Maybe I have just been paying a little too much attention to these things.
The design of Fireflash is a nice portmanteau of a dozen fictional and theoretical real designs of supersonic executive craft, as well as nods to both Concorde and the original Firelash. I have seen another design of supersonic concept besides those already mentioned, and Fireflash seen here looks a LOT like it. Must see if I can find it.
I feel in retrospect it was a mistake to retread the original series so directly. Perhaps I am too hungry for new stories, and The original series stands out in part for what it has achieved. TAG-15 is doing its own thing, so this felt a bit awkward to me.
Did I think this was a Poor / bad episode? No, I did enjoy it, but not as much as the other episodes so far. I do hope we get to see Fireflash again in the future, it deserves to be used again in one or two original new stories for TAG-15.

First off- Happy Birthday TB2!
Nice to see you can be so critical towards this show actually, I find myself agreeing on a lot of your points. However, I have to say that I wouldn't mind seeing original episodes being redone in the newer 2015 show at all. I can already feel the sunprobe returning at some point. It's nice to see some tributes to the original show all the time, like the main pilot of FireFlash being called Captain Hanson, like the original, it's a small but appreciated inclusion.
I agree on your points of Scott and The Hood, Scott sometimes goes a bit into the Jeff Tracy role, since there isn't one. I really hope he will be added to the cast in the second season or something. I'm still not a huge fan of the short episode length time though, despite the good reasons behind it. The original episode worked so well because it actually showed efforts of London Airport themselves trying to rescue Fireflash and failing to do so. The final pay-off to that episode still holds up as one of the best of the original series.
But overall it's a good and enjoyable show, you can never really beat the originals can you? :P
Sometimes we seem to even forget that it's targeted towards the kids of today, not just us old fashioned fans of the original show of 50 years ago )

Ok, Today's episode was brilliant!
Last week it was Kayo's turn, yet it wasn't? Here we have an episode I have been looking forward to because it's all about Virgil. Watched it this morning, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Twice.
After debating last weeks remake of Trapped In The Sky, uncertain of the idea of repeating a classic storyline, here we have an original story that puts Virgil front and centre supported by Grandma as well as Lady P and Parker. Yes like a lot of episodes past and present, it has daft moments. - Thunderbird 2 being used as an air taxi for example. However, it's strong on character, and provides more insight into both Grandma and Virgil in ten minutes than any episode of the original series.
It was also a brave idea to have an episode where the only Thunderbird Vehicle seen is effectively left in the background for the majority of the story, esp when that Thunderbird is Thunderbird 2. However, it works. Virgil's worry at being cut off from the tech he has become accustomed to, what to do, anguish at the sheer scale of the problem is nicely balanced by Grandma's maternal guidence, practical common sense and wisdom. Lovely sub plot with the compass too. The relationships are key in this series it seems and for me at least, it works.
Lady P and Parker do their usual sterling job of providing the secret agent / anti terrorist vibe and its short but effective. Agsin, FAB1 is left to one side in favour of the character's nerve and tenacity. Lady P is genuinely relieved when Parker is found unharmed, and ammused at how he hood winked the Hood. I know some will have issues with the easy defeat of The Hood, but 22 minutes is a tight window to write for!
Only gripe? The usual energy field knocks out electricity macguffin, like the radiation has a time limit / exposure seen a couple of weeks ago. However that is a gripe that spans Sci Fi in general.
I didn't mind the reuse of the space mine or underground vault sets from ep 3. Set pieces and characters will be expensive, and The Original Series did it all the time. In the case of the CGI characters though, I expect it's a partial homage to the classic show too. Also clever rethink on the history of the London Underground compared to Vault Of Death. The ending, with the characters sat having tea and buscuits (Thanks for the correction Lady P) was nicely done, and reminded me of the closing of Day of Disaster. I am really curious to see a story set at Creighton-Ward Manor now.
For me this is a return to the form of the first episode, focusing on a few of the main characters and not scared to do something a bit different within a storyline. Grandma Tracy said it best, it's not about the equipment, it s the Tracy using it. That in itself is what makes Thunderbirds Are Go (the human characters and the vehicles) entertaining and enjoyable to me. More please!!

Lady Penelope walked over to Parker saying ..
" Parker take off my dress " ........... " Yus M'lady"
" Parker take off my shoes" ............... " yus m'lady
" Parker take off my bra " .................. " yus, m'lady"
" and Parker, .... Never let me catch you wearing my clothes again !" )
Ah!, I remember that from my school days. ) now it's topical again ! )
What an absolute cracker. I can see the look on Lady Penelope's face (despite being a marionette) now. It would be the same look (ironically from the episode of 'The Man from MI.5) when Lady Penelope asked Parker how he went at The Casino while she was being rescued and he was gambling? Parker says: it isn't so much how much I lost, but what I lost. Penelope asks him what he means, and finds out what he lost: her yacht!

Wonderful news depending on your budget. The TAG-15 range is expanding next year!
Toys of Thunderbird S and FAB 1 with sounds, and two variations of the pod vehicles are in the works.
Also model kits of the mole pod and Thunderbird 2.2 & 4.2. I am going to be bankrupt, but happy, if that is not a contradiction in terms.
There is a new glut of Thunderbirds TOS merchandise too, but it's all t-shirts, coasters and stationary?! Though I have heard corgi are re-releasing Thunderbirds 2 & 4, and adding their take on Thunderbirds 1 and 3.

Season 2 of Thunderbirds Are Go commences later this month. Everyone in the cast from season 1 are all present and correct in Season 2, but International Rescue have a serious, almost Bondian looking new nemesis. The Mechanic. - He is voiced by Chris Jarman.
I thought the film was brilliant ! Even better than the original series. -{
On (British) ITV on Saturday they had the (1966-50 yr old) Thunderbirds Are Go film with Zero X going to Mars and
finding Martian Rock Snakes. Good special effects by Derek Meddings0 went on to do Bond films.
