Just collected my suit today from TF and this one is perfect.

I went with the Small Herringbone / Navy blue/Midnight Blue, I've also been told today that this fabric has run out.

So the only way to buy Tom Ford suits/jackets is to go in person to their stores? I can't even find real product details on their site, let alone prices. 8-)
  • WardlemWardlem Posts: 79MI6 Agent
Yes you have to go to a shop. They want you to experience the buying process which is rather good to be fair!

Ooh, I see. That's actually rather interesting. Would you say the average suit costs around $5000 from them? What about one of those coats that was shown in Skyfall?

I absolutely love the Tom Ford suits that we've seen in the James Bond movies, but I think I'm going to hold off for another year or two as I continue to shed the pounds. Almost like the suit will be a reward. :D

I bought a couple of off the shelf suits from harrods cost just under 2k each
  • HoldenHolden UKPosts: 664MI6 Agent
The Skyfall overcoat is now only available in made to order, or made to measure, for which you are talking between $4-4500.

Thanks all for your comments - I absolutely love this suit and Sir Miles I will be definitely be wearing it with pride :007)

Matt, the suit is the new O'Connor style, the suit has double vents rather than a single vent, I also got the side adjuster trousers, but kept it a clean hem rather than turn ups.

One other thing, the tie is Tom Ford, although it isn't the correct pattern it does have right coloured square design.

Will try and post more pics when I get a chance to wear it

This is my take on the legging it down Whitehall (skyfall suit)
its a SB 3 button roll 2 notch lapel with a single vent ,working 3 button cuff, horizontal jacket pockets (no ticket pocket )
plain front trousers, with narrow hems and turn ups ,worn with black chukkas with Dannite sole ,made in super 110 pure wool

Anybody recently enquired what Skyfall suit Fabric still exists at Tom Ford?

Im particularly interested in the Skyfall PTS Sharkskin suit (that with the QoS Midnight blue OR0025 but I guess that has long been discontinued!!)

My sources at Tom Ford tell me that the two grey suits (ORJB01 - National Gallery, and ORJB02 - PTS) are still available, I think it was something like 70 more suits for ORJB01, and 60 for ORJB02 - still enough fabric.

In relation to the QOS Midnight blue, I don't know if they still have the Mohair Cashmere cloth still available, however my other TF Blue suit is OR0027 which is a Midnight Blue but 100% wool and is a Range C cloth is still available:

Thanks for the info! PTS looking more likely then! I do like the Prince of Wales but dont feel it would suit me as much as the Whitehall / pin stripe

Well I'm never going to be in the US or UK long enough to get measured up, await delivery, get minor alterations etc so I dropped Tom Ford Milan a quick email with regards to Skyfall suits. Deep down I think I wanted the PTS suit hence did not fully pursue the others (though Zulfi's Prince of Wales has really grown on me!!).

Anyhow Paolo at Milan was rather helpful and the Sharkskin was decided upon subject to my size! I have a purchased a few Tom Ford trousers in the past and knew my size in this department but had great concern about the jacket. After many rounds of measuring (my other half was getting rather annoyed by my persistence for her to remeasure!) I sent off the measurements to Paolo who confirmed what size would be best.

Today the suit arrived and I was rather nervous of the fit however I think I did pretty well considering it was purchased "blind". Now I am under no illusions that the suit is perfect since it is off the rack but due to my predicament im personally very happy. My plan is to get the trousers hemmed next time I'm over in London and poss some minor alterations if recommended.

I will get some pictures up shortly of myself wearing the suit properly as I would like some honest feedback. Its prob a little tight across the chest however I'm doing well in the gym and diet so believe this will soon fit snug but not too tight if I keep up the hard work and shed a few pounds. Was concerned about the sleeve length but tonight with a shirt I appear to have approx an inch of shirt cuff showing. The trousers fit perfect across the waist without playing with the adjusters but maybe a little loose generally around the thighs.

The suit has some minor differences from Skyfall since its off the rack. Its two button instead of three and has a ticket pocket (which I prefer looks wise and to be honest only recently noticed was missing from the Skyfall suits). This suit has a single vent.

In true Mantis style it turned up in a ruddy big box with the suit hung onto a make do clothes rack bar!! Quite impressive delivery!! Very luxurious (though the cheaper end of the TF scale).

Anyhow here is a quick pic , will get more up in the near future so you can give some feedback.
