That's a great price Pete, I've seen these First Edition Library sets go for near £1000 on evilbay, circumstances were different they'd defo be heading for my shelves.

Is the chipping cover art different to the chopping cover art ;)
One of us smells like a tart's handkerchief.

I was lucky with TND as I knew it was going to be a small run in hardback - so I pre-ordered it from Dave Worrall...I also bought the book club edition from him too...it took me six years to finally nab a copy of LTK in hardback...for some reason it passed me by at the time of its release - I don't think I was aware of it until a good few years later...

I did the same, though not through Mr Worrall and the LTK I picked up about 10 years ago

Just for interest, a few of mine-

Some of these look old because they are! I inherited the Flemings from my grandfather (bar OP, he'd died by then), then bought the rest as they were published.

I have two copies each of LTK and GE in hardback- the good ones are on the shelf as in the pic. The spare copies are pretty tatty, and I've thought about selling them off on eBay but never really got round to it.

    Oh, you think? :)) :)) :))

Only my lack of computer tech knowledge prevents me showing more.... :D

Still, an excellent collection, Pete, though why you would sell them beats me!

I was only ever in to books with pics Chas :D

That doesn't explain such a wonderful Bond book collection!
  • danjaq_0ffdanjaq_0ff The SwampsPosts: 7,283MI6 Agent
Hmm, well back when the Danbury Mint Books were being issued, I had to sell my other bond bits, I had collected corgi's, larger cars and SD Studio stuff, so being the the book collection hadn't been fully released I carried on collecting them, after the full set came out the collector in me kicked in again and over time I picked up the older books while buying the new ones as they were coming out.

I have never read any of them, they just sit there, so I'm biting the bullet and outing them :D

I take it you've read the books in other editions, then? I can quite understand not wanting to break into uncut editions.
  • danjaq_0ffdanjaq_0ff The SwampsPosts: 7,283MI6 Agent
:D yeah, I had read them in my twenties, Ive read most of them up to Bensons last 3 I think, I did try and read Carte Blanch a few years back, but I couldn't get my head around his Bond and gave up :D

You mean you've not read them ALL? You do realise that means you're not a true Bond fan right?

Some overlapping in the pics, I'm not into photography and Thunderpussy lives too far away to ask him for help.
