No, it is the book they released to tie in with a prop exhibition in Japan in 94/95 time, we had the same sort of touring exhibition here, they were displayed in Leeds armoury and then portsmouth I think.
There are some nice photos in there of props from Dr No to GE -{
There is an Italian book with almost the same content, but for the life of me I can't remember the title.
Somebody PM me if they have a Geye or LTK first (any of the four hardback versions) they want to part with offline. I'm always helping friends fill their shelves...
That's a great price Pete, I've seen these First Edition Library sets go for near £1000 on evilbay, circumstances were different they'd defo be heading for my shelves.
What is 500 pounds in USA dollars? I want the set but dang, that's a lot of money even in pounds. I have also seen the sets all the way up to $4,000 US. INSANE. I know it is still cheaper than getting all the actual first editions but who is made of that much money these days?
Oh, well. I guess I'll be sticking with my few old book club editions and the boxed trade paperback set.
I'll raise ya and all of the novels are for sale -{
Why in the world would you want to sell off your Bond collection? I don't think anybody could ever replace a collection this nice in a lifetime.
That being said... I WANT THEM!!!!!
Hmm, well back when the Danbury Mint Books were being issued, I had to sell my other bond bits, I had collected corgi's, larger cars and SD Studio stuff, so being the the book collection hadn't been fully released I carried on collecting them, after the full set came out the collector in me kicked in again and over time I picked up the older books while buying the new ones as they were coming out.
I have never read any of them, they just sit there, so I'm biting the bullet and outing them
:O OMG! I would have read the devil out of every one of them several times over...but very carefully.
