Was having a conversation with Chrissial in the other similiar thread. He said that the first images he thinks of about Bond was Sean Connery in You Only live twice and the first sight of Tim Dalton in TLD.
So I decided to create the thread, what do you first think of, first image you see when James Bond is mentioned?

    The first image for me is Connery in Blofeld's volcano in the grey turtle neck (or spacesuit); it was drilled into my head for decades. Dalton's first shot from the TLD PTS is a more recent thing, but an image of Bond more emotionally connected to me at this point.
    Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

    James Bond has been such a lifelong obsession for me that there exists in my mind a Bond “reality” like the Matrix in which every nuance of Bond have melded and come to life. Of course, I’m a big literary Bond fan and hold two separate and general concepts of the character. For the movie Bond, that allows me to digest whichever Bond actor I’m watching and think, “yeah, there’s Bond,” especially when watching more than one Bond actor in succession, and yes, even DC and SC in NSNA, but I draw the line at Barry Nelson and the 1967 CR!

    However, when the general concept of movie Bond flashes in my mind, I think of a suave, well-dressed man speaking in a deep baritone voice (and not in a "Hollywood" British Accent), in early middle-age, tanned with coifed black/dark hair (with a healthy hairline!), and of course, tall and handsome but not too pretty and not ridiculously muscle-bound. In a way, I visualize the advertisements of men’s fashions from the early 70’s that were inspired by the Bond phenomenon. Bond candidate, the late Michael Billington in the PTS of TSWLM fitted the bill and if that scene were the introduction of a new Bond, I would have believed it. A British Don Draper (Mad Men) would have also done it, but not Jon Hamm “as is,” if that makes sense.
