Machete Kills = Moonraker

Wow just got back from a fun time at the Machete Kills premiere. Bond fans take note: Mel Gibson as the villain is basically modeled after Hugo Drax as the film takes a bizarre Moonraker-esqe turn. This will apparently lead to the third installment called Machete Kills Again...In Space:

""It is a space opera. It does take place in space. Machete has to go into space," Rodriguez confirmed. "It's so absurd but it makes sense. You've got to go somewhere new in a third part — why not go into space? It's going to be so fun. It's played straight. Remember 'Moonraker'? I knew nothing of Machete, But caught it one night on Film 4, and thought it
was incredible fun. Way over the top action, and the violence is cartoonish.

I don't remember Machete even though I saw it..I might check this one out for Mel...but any Moonraker mention is a plus..because I just realized in this moment it is the greatest Bond Film ever made. -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ -{
