007 in New York

Hello!

I am organizing a Bond Experience tour of NYC for January. The date will be set soon but I want to keep the party to about 8 people to make it manageable. I have already secured the following places for our visit:

Tom Ford
Barbour
Church's
Turnbull & Asser
Crockett & Jones
Omega
Billy Reid

At each stop we will have a particular drink or a particular food to try as well as a formal tour of the location. This is in cooperation with each of these brands which is why we need to keep it to around 8 people. This isn't for the person that wants to visit Bond NYC film and literary locations but rather the leisure aspects and brands of Bond. There is, of course, no charge for this tour though we will all chip in for lunch (TBD). Would like to know who might be interested. Please email me at david@thebondexperience.com or post interest here.
One other detail...we may have a film crew following us throughout the day from Esquire Network so if you are not comfortable with this aspect please consider this.

This is actually such a cool idea, but unfortunately for me I'll be way too busy in January for a trip to NYC. Cheers to those who make it out.

Hi David, per Facebook, I'm most likely in. I hope a few of these blokes decide to join as it will be great to meet them in the flesh!

Yes! Everyone involved in this should go see "Betrayl" on Broadway. Would be a fitting end to the tour! (That is, if it's still running in January)

Any chance this event could be moved to Feb?
I will be in Australia for Christmas and New Year and doubt I could get across to NYC in January, but would really love to be involved if it was mid February!

Sorry, the date is nearly in stone and just checking with the people who raised their hands first....I have no doubt if this one goes well that people will be able to organize these more often!

Wish I could attend, but good luck and have a blast and hope your teeth don't chatter too much in that freezing Manhattan air!

Did this happen? Were there any photos of the event? Did the Esquire network film it?

No, no, and no....couldn't wrestle the event to the vision we had for it...though a few people do meet in NYC off and on we didn't tour as outlined above....

    You guys should book lunch in the 21 Club - I had my wedding dinner there when i was over from Scotland getting married why? Bond dines with Tiffany case there in Diamonds are forever and at the end of Live & let Die Bond tells Felix that he will meet him at 21 club when they get back to NYC. But be sure to order vodka martinis (shaken, and not stirred and with lemon peel) order dinner and Clicquot Rose champagne. -{
