My two cents, do not trade a Rolex to buy an Omega! I say that admitting that my daily wearer is an Omega PO (CR version W/O 007 badging), and I love my Omega Spectre. Keep the Rolex! Sell something else, or wait, but hold on to the Rolex....my two cents.
I dipped into the PAM phase briefly a few years back (372)
Certainly is, that's a pam 111, I've also got a gmt 233 and a couple of others, I'm looking at adding a radiomir 47mm and a submersible in the future. Ive swung the axe on my omegas, just 6 core classics IMHO now. And with the direction they are taking I doubt I'll add to that.
Just doing some due diligence.
Has anyone had any experience with bulk metallic glass (bmg) used for a watch case? Panerai have used/use it in some their submersible line. I've had a bad experience with ceramic watches in the past and I'm looking at buying a panerai submersible with a bmg case, I can't find any reference to to them cracking or smashing if dropped, I've even asked on the Paneristi site. The watch I'm looking at is the same as the picture, that I've lifted from a blog to watch review. Any help greatly appreciated. Tia
Before 1968, there where Chronometer competitions in Neuchatel, where the most accurate movements have been awarded.
Seiko started competing there in 1964 with movements, both from their Daini and Suwa factories.
In the first year, they lost badly.
But Seiko did not give up, analysed and improved to a degree that some years later in 1968, the Chronometer Competitions have been cancelled during competitions where held, because Seikos would be very likely to win. Seiko then moved their movements to Geneva for their Chronometer competition, where Seiko took places 4-10 - only being defeated by 3 Swiss Quartz movements.

Seiko is just boring. They may be making and achieving some high standards in horological pursuits, but they can’t make watches that don’t look like, er... well.... Seiko’s.

Now here’s a cool watch. British MOD military spec and issued during WW2 to a Spit pilot.

I generally agree with this, BUT, I have a massive soft spot for Seiko divers.

...as if Rolex have been making any watches that don't look like Rolex watches for the last 70 years....
Or Patek.....
the big difference to your "Brewmond" watches is that Seikos in paricular Grand Seikos are technical and artistic masterpieces and visually constant and modest, Bremont fails to excel in every single of those fields.

The difference is, Rolex have great looking watch designs.
Bremont is a young company just starting out. Considering this, they are doing exceptional well in all of those fields. Everyone keeps banging on about them having no heritage, well duh.. really, it’s a new company, they aren’t going too are they )

Funny you say that because that is one of the things I like about Seiko. They have their own look that, like you say, is unmistakably Seiko. But to each his own, of course.

He‘s gotten it half right at least.
The SF AT is a boring watch, and it‘s no Explorer. Dumb move and you‘d regret it!

Not as boring as your dumb Seikos.

A different direction for me.

As for Seiko‘s design I don‘t expect you recognizing anything timeless and subdued 8-)
Brewmond would be well long and deservedly dead, if morons like you wouldn‘t be buying their crap 8-)
Idiot!

Of course they had no experience. They started it from scratch.
They faked their own dads death in a documented plane crash? Really ) Your just inventing stuff now.
Double Idiot.
