New strap? It looks like crocodile belly skin, where do you get your straps from, always oem? I've used Mays in Berlin and I've just bought a di modell straps that I believe are handmade in Germany.
Wife, Hermès Ad and idiot Asp9mm rant about the "impossible" combo black dial - brown strap - but so far it is exactly what I wanted and I enjoy it. I also have a black Hermès for that watch.
The OEM for this watch was horrible. I bought the watch used and it had a new ALS OEM strap which is just bad quality.
I'll have a look into Mays in Berlin.
From my experience, Hermès and Camille Fournet make the best straps, but CF fails to supply with constant good quality. Some of their straps are just ridiculously nice, some are really garbage from the leather.

Mays make some lovely straps. Along with pouches and rolls.
To be honest, I've found it's not always the most well known or expensive straps that are the best. Straps Co make brilliant leather nato, and I have a couple of French artisan strap makers who's products are beyond reproach. One uses leather from old ammo pouches.

And she said (and I am not making this up!) these famous words about him:
"Yes, he's a monkey - but he's my monkey"
Enough said.......

And he‘s not even mentioning how the movement looks
But the question about being more pleasing is easily replied to:
Brick vs. Brewmond = Brick
Fence vs. Brewmond = Fence
Molehill vs. Brewmond = Molehill ( and I have experience with molehills )
There is no imaginable comparison, where a Brewmond wins.
Take this as a new argument

The Yachtmaster ceramic bezel is now in 42 mm
I have already emailed an order to my AD but then discovered that the case is whitegold and not steel
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
The steel model with the all black bezel is discontinued
There is also a very nice variant in whitegold with meteorite dial (I love meteorite dials....)
