Thanks guys, I know the purists will be having a fit, but I have a habit of creating the watch Omega never sold.
Have to say it’s really growing on me
Cheers :007)
P.S Given I have given up on my designs for the NTTD Seamaster I have decided to go for my next love the 41mm Omega Seamaster Professional 2220.80, so if anyone has one they may want to sell pm me - thanks!

For years I had two Brosnan watches. One was a restoration vault watch (I posted about that back in 2018) and the other was for wearing. I'd been reluctant to buy the CR SMP; did I want three watches that basically look identical? Because, in pictures, the differences don't jump out. But I saw a deal on Ebay, jumped, and got one for just shy of $1600.
Once it was in-hand the CR SMP became my favorite watch. The Brosnan SMP300 felt dull and lifeless by comparison. A surprising thing to say considering how much I love the Brosnan SMP. But those applied indices and logo are beautiful and eye catching.
Congrats, Bond44. I suspect you're going to love that watch for a long time.

I was in exactly the same position old SMP vs new felt I could not justify two so similar, but the points you make about the 2220.80 version were the main driving factor for me (plus my good lady had the newer version). You make a good point about the Brosnan version when comparing the two - the applied induces and touch of colour make all the difference in the flesh as it were.
Having put my NTTD SM designs on hold, one came up for the right price and I went for it - what the hell.
It does need some work and probably a service at some point but all in good time.

For folks who have the CS Planet Ocean, or got the matching market rubber straps. Do you need curved spring bars for these to fit? If so, could someone please point me where to get curved spring bars with the proper thickness.
Also, I'm curious if anyone tried the same rubber straps on the SPECTRE Seamaster

I use the normal spring bars from the bracelet when fitting my OEM rubber on my PO 2500
Never tried it on the Spectre 300 aesthetically I am not sure it would work or look right to be honest

Thanks! yeah the straight lugs on the Spectre might not work well with CS PO rubber strap but I was curios if someone already tried.
Hit the jackpot deal on ebay with this one with Strapcode oyster bracelet included. Loving it from the start! I think I will call this one the "Redford".
Yes, very nice. £6450 for the Submariner. £7300 for the Submariner Date and £7650 for the Green Bezel Submariner Date. But sadly, likely to be unobtainable.
Makes the NTTD Seamaster look very expensive!
I see a substancial Rolex price hike for the UK coming soon - just like Omega and Patek are doing.
It is irrelevant. Rolex don’t sell any of their watches.
They have also substantially increased the price with the introduction of the new models. The 114060 is listed as £5750 for example.
The GMT Master II is up from £7150 > £7750.
As predicted, the Omega prices have increased today. The NTTD Seamaster is now £7880 )

The 124060 is EUR 7.350,— here, which converts to GBP 6.550 today, so you see what a bargain you guys have right now and Rolex will adjust that soon - just like others are doing today.

I am a bit disappointed as in the recent years, Rolex violated the "Rolex never goes back" rule.
By leaving the Supercase behind, they kind of admit that it was a mistake back then.
My main gripe with the Maxicase always was, that the bracelet was too narrow.
Making the bracelet wider (just like they've done now) would have meant making the lugs thinner, so I have accepted it.
And that's what Rolex have exactly done now and from this generation on we'll see many watches again, with thin lugs because people can't stop having their watches polished.
From what I see now, the 41mm watches have the beautiful Maxihands but with longer legs, something that I don't enjoy.
The green bezel I still find unnecessary on a toolwatch (which Rolex is not anymore unfortunately) but they look off to me.
How the new movements perform has to be found out over the next decade - I am hearing that they had issues with excessive grinding wear at the beginning - I hope that they've solved that.
My AD refuses to take orders for both, the Sub and the Sub Date LV because the backordered clients will get the new model offered.
I've ordered the incredibly beautiful OP36 with the yellow/orange dial instead - it will look phantastic on a leather strap I am sure!
I've always loved the blue SUb Date in whitegold because of the bold color on the dial - it went a bit mousey now with the blue bezel and the blue dial. Seems that Rolex chose the safe alley instead of having a bold statement here!

I've heard from watch guys that the 8500 (SF model) is a leaps-and-bounds improvement over my humble 2500. But in my opinion the QoS Planet Ocean is the best of Bond's Planet Oceans. The proportions are ideal. And, if you don't have caveman wrists, you can combine it with an OEM rubber strap for a mid-size version of the CR big size.

My first ever luxury watch purchase on the left (back in the 90”s)
And now we have his and hers versions!

Hulk replaced with new Kemit by looks of it
And the MSRP of the no date is cheaper than the NTTD Seamaster.
Not that I’ll be able to get one any time soon. Kind of hard to cozy up to an AD when you live hundreds of miles from the nearest store.

Sub ND def looks more balanced in a subtle way but dont like the idea of it being marginally bigger
The White Gold Blue one looks like a knockoff in the real pics - what a hideous blue

Running a few errands while wearing my Vostok Amphibia LE and the Connolly Matera jacket.
For me, it is only a shame they increased the price of the base watch just for a colored hand and a little box ...
I'm quite keen on Vostoks! That's a nice one
It's a Planet Ocean kind of day for me.

The LE is also titanium.
