I've recently been offered a Breitling superocean heritage with a black face and green bezel (I know green isn't a popular colour) it all looked very good but to be honest I suspected it was a fake as it had no lume pearl on the bezel, just a plain arrow. I don't know much about this brand but I've since learned that some superocean do have them and some don't, I'm now tempted to go back and thoroughly check this watch (it has papers and warranty cards etc) and actually open it up. Anyone know why some have bezel lume pips and others don't ?
Daniel Craig, Lea Seydoux, Lashana Lynch and Rami Malek were interviewed on last night's Graham Norton show on the BBC. Daniel Craig appeared to be wearing a first-generation (pre-Skyfall) Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra with a blue dial he's worn before. It appeared to be on a Planet Ocean bracelet, with a distinctive clasp and the curved tops of the links:
Hey guys, i would like to know coming from you guys and really would love your opinions, if i have the chance to purchase the Omega NTTD version both in v1 and v2 strap - which would you guys think is better
i get the watch with a v1 then buy the v2 bracelet for use or
i just get the v2
both options 1 and 2 will end up the same price . the v1 is older hence cheaper and i have to add to a v2 strap seperatelly which will total be the same as getting a v2 newer version
Personally, I’d just get the V2 as it’s safer and therefore more practical. You’re never going to meet anybody who will notice or be able to tell you the difference between the 2 versions and there isn’t enough screen time for anybody to notice anyway. Plus, nobody will actually care. IMO.
thanks so much for the input guys ... still havent pulled the trigger though cause its quite a pricey piece for a non limited edition ... will keep hunting though - cheers
If you want screen accurate and a rarer piece then go for the V1. It depends how important that is to you and if you would be looking to sell later on (although, only a low minority of Bond fans will care whether it's V1 or V2, IMO). Personally I would rather have the security of the V2 bracelet,
What do we think OMEGA will do with this watch, production wise? Obviously, it's not officially a limited edition but I'm not sure I can see them making it more than a few years down the line? Interest will probably drop. Discounts may be available in a year or two? Or if there's a sniff they're ceasing production prices will go up. In any case OMEGA generally put their prices up annually so this watch may likely retail at £7995 next year. Dependent on current and forecasted sales, of course.
What do others think?
I would love to buy this watch but can't justify the extra £3K+ over the standard watch with a ceramic bezel (accepted Titanium does costs a premium and there is the Bond kudos).

I think they’ll release a black dial black bezel version similar to the one they’ve made for the Swiss Army. Probably without the wavy dial. Then the Bond watch will be discontinued as that takes over.

Globemaster annual calendar, part of the constellation range hence the little star.
I was being facetious...😁 Had no idea there were so many 'masters' 😔
I think the 'standard' now discontinued Globemaster is a fine looking, underrated watch. But I agree the monthly inscribed version doesn't look good.
Not a fan of that AP, Higgy Bear.
You can never tell these days on here 🤣
imo better than a 1016
Why you may ask?
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Downsides. It’s not a 1016.
You are an idiot, but I can‘t disagree with you here

It’s not Wednesday… but I can’t help the excitement of walking into my AD picking this up after only a month wait time.
Congrats on your new watch sir.
Good to see some new activity in the Watch Porn Wednesday section😊
Thank you sir!
Was my 40th birthday on Tuesday. Celebrated with my first proper watch. AD removed a few links for me, no charge, and now it's good to go.
Happy birthday and congratulations, an excellent choice. 🍸️
Belated birthday wishes and congratulations on your new watch Fernandez! A great choice👌
After 1 1/2 years of waiting, this has just arrived

Orange idiot.
That's an odd shade of green.
It looks like custard on tinfoil.
And you say the Hulk is bad :)
Yes, it is 😝

Ed Sheeran was on the show singing a new song and he was wearing what appeared to be the Seamaster 300 from SPECTRE on the black and grey NATO strap.

If you can get the V1 do it. Then buy the V2, which comes in 3 different lengths, for daily wear.
If I could afford it that's what I would do.

That Swiss Army version is a beaut.
It's good to see Casino Royale's Mollaka reincarnated and taking an interest in timepieces...
Sébastien Foucan is an amazing guy. Good choice by Audemars to have him promoting the Royal Oak.
