Hi chaps, quick question. What size AT does DC wear in Spectre? I always thought it was the 39.5 but watching the film last night it looked really big on his wrist.

Must be the 41.5 mm I think? They come in that and 38.5 mm though at's look very different size depending on the angle you look at them

Found these if they are of any use - I think they are for the IEM for SMP but may fit PO version

) youre as bad as me Bond44!!! I've got loads of various omega parts.
Yeah I was into major customizing of my SMP's a few years back (though now seem to have progressed to custom PO Ti's) and picked up various parts here and there as you do.
Trouble is I only have my Bond SMP and I am not touching that so may as well give these parts a home if anyone needs them.

They are available individually as well. $7,000 for the Seamaster 300; $6,800 for the Railmaster; and $7,250 for the Speedmaster. The Trilogy box set is priced at $21,600 and comes with extra leather and NATO straps.
Do we have any Speedmaster knowledge out there? Specifically dark side of the moon model 311.92.44.51.01.003. I have recently sold a couple of watches to fund a black ceramic po, but now this has been offered to me from a third party referred to me by a contact of mine. I have never considered a speedy before and I don't know much about them. Comparing the pics below to ones online it looks OK to me as does the movement except maybe the column wheel looks rough or maybe worn?? Anyone out there spot any problems?
The strap has a tang buckle which surprised me but seems right, the box and papers look right also, but it has no extra straps. Any advice most welcome, also Ive heard and seen horror damage to ceramic cases particularly lugs is this watch prone to such damage?
Thank you Gentlemen.

Can't help you on the Speedmaster Chris. I'm sure they are great watches but I would always say buy what love and don't be distracted along the way. If you succumb it rarely lasts. ;%
Appreciate that's totally not what you were asking, so feel free to tell me to leg it.
Dont wait for your ship to come in. Swim out and meet the bloody thing.

Thanks for that, Im giving this a miss and waiting for the right po to turn up. If nothing else a fully ceramic watch worries me a little.
And it's not just omega, looking online IWC seem to be the worst for it in their ceramic pilot top gun watch, which I find surprising from IWC.
Of course the simple answer is don't drop them
I have only one Speedy in my collection the Moonwatch with its NASA connection.
I fall in and out of love with it but every collection needs one and this to me is the best one.
I guess the question was always what is the driving factor - thats its a steel or that its what you want?
I would love an all Ceramic PO of the new generation but the darn thing is just too big for my wrist - so I will stick with my PO Ti (in black or Blue, its nice to have options)

It's only a steel po with a black ceramic bezel I was after, the speedy in the above post is priced slightly cheap but not massively. like I said I've never considered one before but I quite like the look of this watch, it's kind of stealthy and I was also thinking I have 3 po's already. Ive sold an aqua terra and a planet ocean recently purely due to no wrist use.

For the steel PO take a look on eBay I saw one last night for £2K looked in nice condition as well.

Yes I've seen a few on eBay, but I will wait for my established channels to offer one up, and Im forgetting the Speedmaster as it's a complete dud. Concentrating on minute details like the movement, the lettering, engraving etc I missed a huge glaring obvious sign that marks this watch as wrong. The 3 o'clock subdial is marked 6, 12, 18, 24 and this is wrong it should be marked 3, 6, 9, 12 on this model!! having gone back to the vendor he confessed it is a "franken" watch made up of as he said " after market " parts and an omega movement and strap. What a tosser. . As he's not advertising this watch for sale I can't report him but I told him what I think of him. I've also mailed all my contacts and told them not to do business with this guy.
Lesson for me is not to step outside my usual watch buying habit.

There are indeed several steel PO on eBay around GBP2'000.
And you can change the second hand for a 007 le model -{ -{ -{
That second suits the po on the rubber strap, I may have a go with my beater one day. There are a lot of po's with orange number indices about, but I want silver.
Feeling quite pleased with myself in picking up my sons 21st birthday present (early) in a good deal from the UK. Now we are a bit "matchy" ) and he has a nice watch from his birth year (1997), in original box, cards, with receipts from it being bought on New Bond street, plus service receipts. Think he will love it. :x
Bought it a bit early, but it all fell right so couldn't resist. Interesting its pretty much worth what it cost new (GBP1200) in 1997. Liked the sellers Customs declaration too 'a time measuring device'. )

I think I'll walk away from this one and continue down the seamaster road.
