Just a thought - maybe we should rename this thread lol?
Appears to be the ultimate watch talk thread on AJB
It's the ONLY watch thread since Barbels in an uncompromising mood. Mind you there have been one or two complaints from members when someone posts not on a Wednesday.
A question for all the watch experts on here: I've heard tell that in Dr. No Sean Connery wears a Yema watch, which the company made great publicity of. Has this ever been confirmed? Do we know which model was used?
I think one self deluded bond watch "expert" preports to have identified all of Bond's watches but he's no longer on here. cue Higgins (who may know the true answer to your question)
It was either that.....or the priesthood

Total rubbish. It's never been identified and there is no evidence whatsoever of Yema making 'great publicity'. And obviously there would be evidence of such a thing if this was the case.

Yema did try a relaunch about 8 years ago, they claimed then that they supplied a watch for Dr No and showed a screencap of the Rolex Sub when Bond runs the geiger over it. So it was basically a marketing ploy full of BS. They did make a vintage Sub clone, it was this watch they were saying Connery wore in Dr No )
Not really, quartz clocks have been around since the late 1920's, Hamilton ( bond connection, Felix wore a Hamilton in cr and qos) made the first production quartz watch in the late 1950's but widespread quartz usage really kicked off in the 1970's
