The union flag is going to be replaced with a simple hole for two reasons; first although bond is British and the union flag has featured in a few films, it might make some of us who aren't from the UK a bit left out, secondly the gunbarrel represents the look from the barrel of a gun, so a hole is the obvious choice.
Any thoughts, comments etc post them here, sorry it's a bit crude but I didn't have a lot of time, only 20mins or so to get it drawn up.
The colours are about there, but the yellow 'a' would be gold plated I think.
From what you were showing me the other night, it will be stamped brass with black enamel ? maybe clear coated but very much doubt it will be gold plated
You're probably right about the gold plating, shiny brass, polished brass, shiny gold coloured monkey metal, whatever you wanna call it, the idea is to have the 'a' in shiny gold looking effect.

Although I liked the three letter approach (post 61, bottom left) at first, a pin should be subtle, like the Quantum Q.
I like the Post 65 approach, but (cat in piegons time,) should the centre be white rather than black to reflect the specific Bond gun barrel sequence? As I say that, I do wince re the possible copyright concerns.
MiniG - did you really do that in only 20 mins?
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
I quite like the idea of this, with the gun barrel in silver and the hole drilled out, looking like this we are replicating a gun barrel not the James Bond gun barrel it also twist is in the opposite direction.

Like it without the Union Jack. Also, the "J" needs to come before the "B" in the gun barrel.

So, what sharp little eyes you've got...wait till you get to my teeth.

I'd give bumtoys his gay camera, but I just can't part with it. Whether it be chocking the wobbly workbench up, acting as a bit of packing while clamping things down to the mill table or simply a chunk of ali within reach that serves as a great lightweight hammer, that damn camera is just too useful.
As for the pin badge I'll do a final submission and then it's up to you guys to green light it or choose anyone else's design.
I'm open to suggestions, and if another design is chosen then I really won't take any offence.

Probably impractical given all the nationalities represented on AJB, but wonder if you could do runs with different flags? Just a thought. Alternatively, I'd just go with white or possibly red; the gun barrel is so over-used that unless this were to appear in an ad campaign, there's probably not going to be a copyright issue.
I like that the "JB" is somehow incorporated into the rifling but I don't think it reads along with the outer "A".
Having done enameled/cloisonne pins before, I understand this is most likely brass.
Thought I'd have a stab, combining several ideas already shown
Reasons for keeping the Union Flag are that Bond is inherently British as is the site. I think this is the first try at incorporating the whole AJB007, which I feel is important.
My only reservation is that it may be a little 'busy' but I throw it out there to be castigated at will.
Edited to clean up the flag and give I black background. I reckon you could do this 10mm x 20mm so would be in keeping with a lapel badge size.

I've got an idea that might sort everyone's requirements, it's just finding the time to draw it up.

When you say a 'hole' do you mean an actual 'hole' in the badge or just a black circle?
Like a polo AA
Ah right -{ what sort of clip will be on the back?

Oh Bendy Toys! Will you please let it go?! Cameras take time to develop, just like film, or sports cars. Oh and fizzy srinks! Hic!

You should have added - "unless it's something that Bumtoys comes up with".
Yeah, and of course he didn't get it right with the first shot 8-)

If I'm paying for it, I'll settle for coloured tin.
