I know this is quite a widespread topic and probably been a topic before but what's everyone's favourite Scene in the Bond series. Mine is in OHMSS where Bonds escaped from Piz Gloria and is been chased by Brunt and henchmen and there in the village and Bond actually looks scared, one of the only time in the films and then when everything looks bleak Tracy comes along to save Bond

Thats a very good scene to pick, Bond does indeed looks scared and that he thinks its about to end!!

On a personal note I would really have to rack my small peanut brain, so many moments to choose from!

Mine is probably the PTS from Goldfinger -Connery at his most urbane and ruthless.

Casino Royale Madagascar footchase...embassy break in--- HANDS DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(or is this too big of a chunk of movie to qualify as a "scene" ?)

The cold blooded killing of Professor Dent rates highly for me. Bond at his most ruthless and one of the most Fleming-esque scenes from the Connery era.

I'll have a serious think about my all time favourite, although it may end up being this one.

100% agree. The original idea is there in Fleming, but it's superbly built upon by Richard Maibaum & Paul Dehn with tensionraising dialogue- almost every line is quotable in itself, as is frequently demonstrated in the Quote Conversation thread- delivered masterfully by Michael Collins (dubbing Gert Frobe) and Sean Connery, and then everything is topped by John Barry's unforgettable music.

A bit off-topic: GF is frequently cited as the only Bond film to improve upon the book, and while that is arguable (I'd certainly say CR06 does, for example) this one scene is a good example. Goldfinger's reason to not simply kill Bond is much stronger, the laser beam is fitted into the plot later on and is foreshadowed here, and as I said above the dialogue is unforgettable. Though it's perhaps a shame that

Bond- Then you can go and **** yourself.
Goldfinger- Even I am not capable of that, Mr Bond!

wouldn't have been usable then (and perhaps not even now).

I definitely agree with this. Although I love the novel, that part is very poor in the book and comes across as a lazy after thought. There is no reason at all for keeping Bond alive at that point. Kudos to the film-makers for recognising this and changing it.

It is a great scene and one which I perhaps would have overlooked due to how iconic it is. It almost seems like a lazy choice when in fact it absolutely is one of the best scenes from the Bond movies. There is a reason it is iconic.

+1 The film improves on the book for this scene.

    Thunderball.

"Would you pull one for me? seems terribly difficult (BOOM) ....no it isn't is it?..."

That defines Connery's portrail of Bond for me
....and the best he ever managed was a sermon on the mount.

Another brilliant scene -{ Trouble is there are so many great scenes in the series. :D

An outright favorite scene, I can't do.

However scenes that stuck in my head per actor:

YOLT. - Entire Little Nellie scene. The fact it kicks off with a frustrated Q and curious Tanaka is icing on the cake.

OHMSS - The Ski chase leading into the car chase. Great action and cinematography, and Lazenby nakes Bond seem vulnerable when Tracy arrives in time to help him escape Bunt and the goons.

TSWLM - The Boatus. On land and in the water the car shows its abilities brilliantly, with a nice mix if the action and trademark Moore humour.

TLD - The winterised Aston in action. Shame the car is lost, but it makes an impact in more ways than one. New twists on classic ideas work nicely too.

TWINE - The Thames boat chase. Great in itself, but lovely to have such a sequence in a place I have been! The music adds to the scene too.

CR-06 - The Madagascar free running chase. Fast, picturesque and direct. I still go wide eyed at the crane jump!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
