There is a YouTube clip of Connery playing Macbeth in a pre-Bond TV play and he looks great in it, I'd like to see that.

And I'd like to see Lazenby in one of his Hong Kong exploitation films.

I think Rocketeer with Timmothy Dalton as the villan is a hidden gem :)

    rocketeer24.jpg

Disney is remaking it soon. I'm hopeing for Joseph Gordon- Lewitt in the lead and Alison Brie replacing Jennifer connelly.

The Rocketeer was the first movie of Timothy Dalton's that I saw. Even though I was only a kid at the time, I felt that Dalton was a first class actor. As for movies starring the Bond actors that I have yet to see here is a short list:

Connery: Pretty much all of his 60's non Bond films and much of his 70's films as save for Meteor and some of The Man who would be King. Also I really want to see A Good Man in Africa.

Moore: Gold, Shout At the Devil, Ffolkes, The Sea Wolves

Lazenby: Other than his Hong Kong movies, nothing much he did in his later career has managed to capture my interest.

Dalton: The English dubbed version of the anime Tales from the Sea, The Lion in Winter, and the episodes of the television show Chuck where he was a guest star.

Brosnan: Robinson Caruso, Seraphim Falls , the TV mini series Bag of Bones, 1986 tv version of Around the World in 80 days.

Craig: Layer Cake, Munich, Road to Perdition, I Dreamed of Africa, Renaissance and many others.

Connery seems to have the best films for me. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a personal favourite, but other greats include Murder On The Orient Express, The Rock, The Hunt For Red October, and Medicine Man. I've also seen Marnie, which was ok.

The only Roger Moore film I've seen other than bond is The Quest, and it isn't that great really.

Timothy Daton - Hot Fuzz. Excellent film. It's the only one of his I've seen though.

Haven't seen any GL or PB films.

DC - I've seen him in Tomb Raider - not his best moment. He's great in Tintin though. Cowboys and Aliens I just hate the film to be honest (though DC's performance was decent enough). I have 3 more films with him in that I've yet to see - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Jacket, and The Golden Compass.

The Wild Geese is the one essential Moore non-Bond to watch imo.

Craig's Dragon Tattoo is being shown at London's Prince Charles cinema in the next few months.

Agree with The Wild Geese -great film.

The Man Who Haunted Himself is another Moore gem IMO from around the time of The Persuaders.

    Connery's greatest films, again IMO, are The Untouchables and The Name of The Rose. And an early gem with Patrick McGoohan, Hell Drivers. -{

And of course, in Hell Drivers, Connery stars alongside another contender for the James Bond role – Sid James.

Erm, Craig hasn't done a sequel to it has he? Do you mean the original Swedish Dragon Tattoo is on? I thought it was the Craig version showing.

Ah, yes! I was looking forward to that, but Burton died and got replaced by Edward Fox, and Olivier did some rubbish films in his time. Never seen it.

Recently watched The Jacket, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and The Golden Compass - all starring/featuring Daniel Craig.

I thought The Jacket was pretty damn decent. But the other 2.... while not bad were let-downs for me.

Yes, he's excellent in that film- miles away from Bond, and very convincing.

( ;% but I did enjoy "Mamma Mia"...)
