The Pierre Cardin Classic Black Lacquer Lighter

Just received The Pierre Cardin Classic Black Lacquer Lighter from Skyfall. It's a really nice piece and will be a Christmas present for my girlfriend. I think she'll like it, it's really solid and nicely put together

Saw that for sale on the UK Amazon site Thomo-shows you how bad my lust for collecting Bond related stuff has got when I was considering buying it, despite not being a smoker or a sultry female beauty that hangs around casinos! Looked cool though, would be a great present for a girlfriend, and something different! {[]

Well I gave in and decided to order one. Seems to be a very well made lighter with a nice bit of weight to it. It came very nicely presented in a box and soft pouch to store it in.

    Apologies for the terrible phone pics. -{

Edit: Just realised the pics make it look like it has lots of marks all over it, it's actually just some fluff from the pouch it came in.

Great job, I've not had the chance to take any pictures without the person who it's for seeing it. But it is nicely made. I have a Ronson too which looks like it will last forever, but this one is nice

Not sure if anyone else has had the same problem with this? Just filled the lighter for the first time for my girlfriend - it was working fine, it now appears to have a leak around the 'flame' area. Won't hold gas and when you fill and light it there is like a very small backdraft :#

I used to have the same problem when I owned a similar Ronson lighter (though it was probably about 20 years ago). I gather Ronson have/had a good service dept so perhaps it could be fixed? Also it may be due to overfilling, have you tried with a little less gas? (The lighter that is, not you :)) )

Could someone please tell me which scene this appears in?

It has been a while since I watched Skyfall.

Casino scene where Bond talks to Severine for the first time I believe.

Take a look on the bar...

I've refilled mine a few times now and it's still working perfectly. Have you emailed Pierre Cardin? They may replace it for you.

I have and it's got to go off to repair - they are actually getting harder to get hold of now so a good investment, Amazon (uk) still have one or two. The warranty on it is two years by the way

@MiniGeff Thank you, I had a feeling that this prop was connected to Severine some how since she was the only character that I could think of as using a lighter on camera.

Is it confirmed that it is indeed the Pierre Cardin lighter that was used in the movie? Ronson also makes a lighter that looks like that http://www.aanstekerhuis.nl/a-21886284/ronson-aanstekers/ronson-varaflame-leer-zwart-art-nr-130007/ Because of Bonds connection with Ronson lighters I thought they might have used this one.

That Ronson looks good. Not sure if it's 100% been confirmed ? I have a few vintage Ronson's like that - build quality is excellent

It's definitely the PC you can see it clearly on the blu-ray disc.

Thanks for clearing that up Asp9mm. You can easily see I'm not a smoker, collector or owner of a blu-ray player :007)

There is no doubt that it is the Pierre Cardin, the blu-ray screenshot shows all the details:
