Congrats Andy - TF are doing well from us this month!
How did you get on with your fitting?
That's true, its a very good month for TF. )
Really well, they used a standard size over coat to start with and then pinned it to my requirements. I was really taken back by the level of service.
They also took the time to show me all the James Bond fabric and shirt selections that can be ordered. So that's my shopping list full for 2014.
I did take a liking to the cufflinks from the PTS but they are a bit pricey (Just over 3K) they also showed me a pair of cufflinks that where valued at 47K, I nearly passed out. )
To those who got the cardigan, congrats! They look amazing and I'm sure they're fantastic! The price is a little too much for me to spend on a wool cardigan though.
I do have a question for those who have it though. If this cardigan was not used in James Bond, would you say its worth the price? You could buy a pretty nice suit with that much money (though obviously not Tom Ford ) )!! It just seems a little much, even by Tom Ford standards. I would understand if it was cashmere maybe.
I just want to say, I'm not trying to question anyone's purchase, but after hearing so much praise for this cardy, I'm just curious what makes this one stand out so much. I haven't been able to see it in person I must admit, and the pictures might not do it justice, but maybe if I ever do get to hold one I might understand why people are willing to pay so much for it!
Here's a used cardigan in brown if anyone is interested. Really sorry to drive up the price if the bidder is on this forum! I'm trying to make sure that an AJBer gets it! If you're bidding for this and don't want to get in a bidding war, let me know and I'll take down my post.

Ok. I wouldnt have bought it if Bond wasnt connected to it
Is it worth it??? Thats subjective of course. Well its the nicest knitted thing ive seen, def something you dont normally see in a shop quality wise. Its definetly way over priced without doubt but if patient can be had for half the price (eBay the other day)
Looks nice in brown! They now have restocked most of the colors at the NYC store...was just there with Simon Ruzgar and John Guidry! I also tried on a cream 48 and put it aside for Xmas!

They have a dark blue version (not navy) available in Selfridges, London.
I'm waiting for a grey version - they have one in the TF store but it's made from a different material.
Yea sure. They had a catalogue with all the martials swatches from the Skyfall film, so that's suit and shirt martials which can be ordered (4 for the suit and 4 for the shirts). They also had the tabbed collar as a option when ordering a MTO / MTM which references a James Bond fit.

I could be wrong, but I think it was a light pink. I should have really got a picture of it. However, if your visiting the store they have all the fabrics in a folder and they all have a bond code number though. When I go back I see if I can get a picture.
Unfortunately currently out of my range ;/ But the colour is decent anyway, since the original Quantum cardigans are still around somehow I guess I will probably find another ice blue one in a couple of years!
