Which Bond Movie(s) do you own more than one version of, and why?

chrisisallchrisisall Western Mass, USAPosts: 9,062MI6 Agent
I currently own two Bond movies redundantly:
TMWTGG because my SE DVD version is full of print scratches and the crew in the mirror shot, and reminds me fondly of my theatre experience at 15, while my Ultimate edition DVD has all the pretty, clean colours.
LTK because I got the Ultimate edition one-disk version first before I knew of the deleted scenes, then I felt the need to own the cool scene where Bond watches Sanchez on TV showing how he got his PPK through customs, forcing me to purchase the two-disk version.
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

I can't remember where the series ends for each version, but I have video tape versions of all of the movies that were released on VHS, then I have the same movies in the regular DVD boxed set, then I have each volume of the Ultimate DVD edition, and of course the Bond 50 Blu-Ray boxed set. Insane, right?

As time has gone by I've upgraded my Bond collection and sold off the old CED disks, VHS tapes & SE DVD editions to partially fund the transition, but I really love the horribly scratchy MWTGG SE print! :D
    And one never rids himself of a Dalton version. -{

I have them all on DVD just once each. From DN-DAD it forms a big logo '007' - The first 20 are from that era, when DAD was the newest film. The three DC films have different artwork and kind of stick out like a sore thumb. I'm sure I'll update to a newer collection some day...

I did that with Star Trek episodes... with Bond I just taped the music.
    Sad childhood here too. :))

Actually, it was much more saddening :D

I've taped the movies in the cinema :))
The problematic part was to turn over the tape after 45 minutes without missing too much action :#

I had the 120 minute tapes, but the sudden click of the end of side one always jarred me! X-(

Brilliant! I did the same thing!
Strangely, although proper widescreen, quality audio & all the other stuff DVDs offer is a godsend to us film-buffs, the prospect of watching a Bond on ITV on Xmas Day was infinitely more exciting. I suppose one just takes for granted things that are now so easily accessible.

If you are ove 40 you will own the VHS, maybe VHS widescreen, then DVD, then DVD Ultimate Edition maybe, then BluRay perhaps. Not of them all, but enough of 'em.

I never bought TMWTGG, FYEO, NSNA or LTK, TND, DAD or any of the Craig ones in any shape or form. The others I got tempted into. I don't own a BluRay player but I'd get Dr No and maybe OHMSS and MR if I did.

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, ITV Xmas Day 1978 & THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN, ITV Xmas Day 1980. Both were revelations. Probably why I still have a soft spot for both films.

As for ownership of the different formats, well I've possessed them all except the current Blu-Rays. They seem scant on Special Features. The DVD Ultimate Editions offer much more. Perhaps when my DVD player conks out I'll invest in a multi-region Blu-Ray but until that time I'm content with the versions I've got.

I have the Special edition and Ultimate edition DVD's up until TWINE. The 2 and 3 disc CR edition. So actually the only movies I do not own twice are DAD, QOS (still no 2 or 3 dvd version with special features) and SF.

I own the special editions of the older movies because they are dubbed in French and Italian and I have used them to learn a bit of Italian.

I own at least two copies of every Bond film in different formats. The reason being that I just don't like getting rid of my old editions as they have a certain sentimental value!

I have the Bond 50 blu-ray set plus the blu-ray of Skyfall and the 2-disc blu-ray of Casino Royale.

I have the complete set of 20 Ultimate Edition DVDs. I also have the 2 disc Special Edition DVD set of Die Another Day because it has some bonus features not on the UE. I got rid of all the other SE DVDs that I had when I upgraded to the UE. I didn't have a complete set, only about 10 of them.

Then, I also have 2 disc and 3 disc DVD sets of Casino Royale, the 2 disc set of QoS, and 1 disc DVD of Skyfall.

The only VHS tapes I have are FRWL, LALD, TMWTGG, MR, and LTK.
