I can sympathize with those who can't stand MR. I had it as the 3rd worst film in the whole series the first time I watched it, but that's because I bought into the hype of what others said before me. The film is so damn fun though and knows EXACTLY what it wants to be and achieves it beautifully. It does camp perfectly and has some serious moments of threat and danger as well. I embrace the double taking pigeon, Jaws and Dolly, and all the ridiculousness.
It's amazing how watching the films over the years change your perception. OP also use to be last for me, but now it's climbing and it might pass AVTAK for me after another viewing, the action scenes are just incredible in it. I use to have an opinion very similar to BL, Moore use to be my least favorite. Now he has turned into my favorite. What an incredible series

+1 I couldn't agree more! Every summer, I watch all the Bonds in a row. I've found that I'm enjoying films more than I ever did at this point. On the other hand, some films (FRWL for example) drop a little bit because I feel like I've seen them one too many times. But that's the beauty about a series as long as 007. Opinions change when you have 23 films, and that's why I love the franchise as much as I do!
