They said: "We have shown that James Bond's alcohol consumption, while on his various missions for Her Majesty's Secret Service is, on average, between 65 and 92 units a week."
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
"Despite his alcohol consumption, he is still described as being able to carry out highly complicated tasks and function at an extraordinarily high level.
If fans like us cant work out the timeline, how in the hell did they conclude that 'Bond had just 12.5 alcohol-free days out of the 87.5 days he was able to drink' !? )
Glad to see that this writer came to Bond's defence and brought a little reality to the discussion (although a pity that he didn't notice that Bond actually did get shot in SF). I love Bond, both written and cinematic. Fleming's books present a wonderful slice of Britain and the world in the 1950s and 1960s...but let's get real here, they're not real! If the only flaw a bunch of researchers can find in Bond stories is that he smokes and drinks too much, then those researchers should get out a bit more often! Shhhh...it's fiction!
I once read a 'study' that claimed Bond's sex life probably ment he was realiant on prostitutes and suffering from STD's.
Amateurs. Everyone knows Bond is immune to STD's. Do they even exist in his world? I guess it's like going to the toilet. Other people experience it, but Bond doeasn't have to bother about such trivial matters. When it comes to prostitutes, I quote Bond himself: - Who needs to buy? The scentists obviousy don't know ladies throw themselves at him - even the lesbians! )
Well, these subject matters were brought up in NSNA and DAD ) ; perhaps in Bond 24 Mallory's M will give Bond a good dressing down on these unsatisfactory habits, and Bond will see the error of ways and change (Yeah right!).
"Well, he certainly left with his tails between his legs."
I really did look for another post on this before I started one,,guess I just missed it. Anyway, they're scientists, they're not Bond...so their opinion doesn't matter in the Fleming universe.
