How would Bond spend Christmas?

Bond isn't a family man, so how would he spend Christmas?
I reckon that if he were off duty, he wouldn't stay in London. I am guessing that he would leave the crowded streets and shops and get some sun on his back. Caribbean, South Africa or South America.

    I can't see Bond as being a very into x-mas, attending a few small parties and I'm sure
    he'd have a few lady friends to pass the time with. :))

    Well, using Mr Fleming as a template, I can see Bind going someplace bright and sunny. Maybe a place where Christmas is not a big deal, but he could indulge in sports, parties and women. Jamaca, the Bahamas, Thailand? Certainly not doing all the traditional festive stuff. I get the impression Bond would let his birthdays slip by unnoticed as well. Neither film nor literary Bond strikes me as a sentimental type. It adds up, he has no family or close friends. Well, except Felix Lighter, and maybe Columbo.
    This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    I agree with everyone. Apart from May and Tanner, he didn't really have any friends, family or close acquaintances so London would be out of the question. Jamaica it would be. Lounging on the beach by day as well as swimming and snorkelling, white dinner jacket by evening to cocktail with the ex-Pats.

    Well, Bond celebrates his birthday in Solo. But he's middle aged then and he only has a nice diner alone in a fine resturant. I agree he would go to the Bahamas if he had the chance. Anyway he would enjoy meeting Tanner or Leiter for a drink or five. Perhaps Bond would give May a Christmas bonus and perhaps exchange gifts with Moneypenny and Mary Goodnight or Loelia Ponsonby. Perhaps Moneypenny would arrange for a gift from M/MI6 to Bond?

    As most of the civil service and the MOD seem to shut down over Christmas, and money seems to be no object
    I think our man would whizz off to Nassau ,probably meet up with Felix,soak up the Bahamian sun , get some diving in
    smoke and drink himself stupid, eat lobster till you was sick of the sight of it ,play golf on Cable beach,leave the white d/j at home
    just chill out for once ,
    By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

    I think his first chice would be the Bahamas. But if he had to embrace the yuletide spirit, it would be in a a luxury lodege somewhere snowy (The Alps, Norway/Sweden, Canada perhaps) where he could enjoy sking in the slopes or a drink and a blonde in front of the fireplace. :007)

    Given his enjoyment of skiing and snorkeling, Bond's holiday activities could go either way. Given that Fleming spent his winters in Jamaica and he gave Bond his same love of the island, it's not hard to image him heading there to go spearfishing with Quarrel during the day and pursuing wealthy vacationing socialites at night. Pre OHMSS I could see him also going to the Tyrol to ski, but post OHMSS he may have been put off from a winter holiday because it would have reminded him to much of Tracy and that whole mission.

    Well I guess if M invited him to spend Christmas Day at Quarterdeck, he'd accept - otherwise I'm guessing skiing and enjoying Schnapps with the locals in Switzerland or Austria.

    But then again, the Bahamas does sound more likely...

    I hardly think packing a white d/j black d/j trousers ,bow tie/cummerbund,braces,cuff links,marcella shirt,
    collar bones ,dress studs ,silk pocket square, black silk socks (un ribbed of course,dont want to look a pleb with ribbed socks)
    and lastly black patent shoes ,is chilling out ,black tie regardless of jacket colour is a formal event,but then after all he is Bond :)
