I didn't get much Bond stuff this year just the Best of Bond cd. :D
what did the rest of you get ?

    I've been reading through all the novels, with my wedding coming up I've gotten sidetracked so I'm still on Diamonds are Forever.

    my missus got me a BOSE sound system for my Sony 3d hd ect ect tv now I can watch all my Bond films again

    its called Solo , not bad , im sure there is better out there on the market, but my missus bought it (bless her)
    so cant take it back ,but it sits nice and tidy under the idiot box, we are not very technical in our house
    don't have Sky ,cable, any thing like that , and as all our music systems in house and garden are Bose, she went and bought
    Bose again

    She got it from John Lewis , and the gentleman in that dept demonstrated the different models to her ,and she said it sounded the better one

    It probably is the best at that price - for an all-in-one system...you can lose a bit of the dialogue in the more 'explosive/action' scenes...but that's rare...enjoy it -{

    Amongst other things I received two Bond-related books - THE MAKING OF THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS & 50 YEARS OF JAMES BOND MOVIE POSTERS.

    Excellent reads, both of them.

    I got the James Bond Archives book, the Making of Licence to Kill book( I read the making of The Living Daylights book last year so I figured that I would add this one to my collection) and the Blu Ray of On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

    Even in the non-movie years I always try to get at least one thing that is James Bond related for Christmas.

    THE MAKING OF THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is a fascinating read, especially the detailed synopsis of the original Maibaum/Wilson script for Bond's first adventure.
    The Bond people like to plunder previously rejected ideas & it looks like they revamped Bond's visit to the ancestral home for SKYFALL.
    Some good ideas but I think Broccoli was wise to reject it at that point in time.
